Flavoring your water is fine, that's why they sell water flavoring products. But to only drink soda, or gatorade-type shit and never simply water is not good for you.

No foo, premade flavored drinks barely have any healthy water in them. Flavor packets or droppers have a minimal amount of sugar and artificial flavoring.

Putting a couple of drops of "cherry" in a glass of water is not equivalent to a can or a bottle of soda.

My grandfather's house in Roswell had cloudy ice because of how hard the water was around there.

It's still the first place I think of in the "this place's tap water tastes like shit" category.

I drank endless diet soda it for a lot of my childhood because we lived in a house with unsafe water and that was all my parents bought.

when I got into college I switched over to primarily water and it was unbelievable how much better I felt after only like a week. I have maybe one or two sodas a month at most now

Soda is disgusting

The issue is how cheap it is. Being comparable in price to or below a bottle of water even.

Although I do have to wonder why soda producers stuff so much sugar into them as they do. Or why low sugar variants are so rare.

My favorite drink for example is gold peak, slightly sweet. But its BARELY sold anywhere. Hell its kind of hard to find online even.

Eh, I feel the same way about beer. Just not a fan of how I feel when I'm doing both anymore. I like it for after even though I dont drink much these days (only socially, if that)

This is absolutely fair.

We keep our Brita filter full at all times in this house.

Our tap water is on par with the bottled stuff so I just drink and refill a few two gallon jugs on rotation with one in the freezer at all times.

The water you drink absolutely has a taste. Only pure water doesn't.

Also when i exercise and doing physical work the only thing that will quench me is water. Soft drinks would relieve me of the sugar craving but i still need water

Only semi-related, but I need to find a better source of water. I've tried to split my drinking between soda and water as best I can, but I generally drink from water bottles since I'm iffy on my tap water in a super rural area. There's a lot of recent pushback against water bottles due to microplastics, though, which has me really anxious.

I need to look into a cheap filter, I think.

Pre-bottles water is very hit and miss. Some brands add too much shit, like Dasani adding sodium(!?).

One time I bought a bottle from Target. It was Target-branded so it was cheap. Uh, yeah, it tasted like someone just filled a bunch of bottles from the tap, unfiltered. Gross.

Now I mainly use ZERO WATER filtered water to drink at home and on the go.

It's filling. I can drink a liter of water and still be thirsty. A can of soda and I'm good.

Only drink water when working out or playing sports. Then a soda as dessert.

I have this problem with certain brands of bottled water. Dasani is by far the worst.

i don't think anyone does actually, not even sure it's possible, i just licked the air and didn't taste anything

I understand you dont choose your tastes, but didnt everyone drink water as a kid? You play hard at recess, you get thirsty and go to the water fountain. Thats the only option. At what point do people start refusing to drink water?
