Ana definitely has.

Cenk I think is more aligned to the Online/Twitter Left of: allergic to celebrating progress; purist bs that leans into "both sides bad"; quick to doom and gloom; highly susceptible to right wing talking points (like economy bad, job market horrible, etc.)

Ana definitely has gone full chud. I havent watched anything from them for a while now because of her.

The only chuddy thing Ana's done is admire Trump's insults, otherwise she hasn't gone further than center.

I'm curious how much pressure Ana will be under if Trump gets absolutely blown out.

Only Ana has shifted right, TYT as a whole is still very much leftwing. Cenk just keeps her employed even as it drove away all their LGBT+ contributors. So even if he's still left he sucks too.

Cenk didn't get on most 2024 ballots due to people thinking he couldn't run due to not being born in the US. But he had rhat issue under litigation in court.

tbf, his presidential run was solely a democratic primary challenge to biden, because he insisted biden had deteriorated to the point where he was a lock to lose to trump. He repeatedly said throughout his "campaign" that he didnt expect to win, but wanted to sound the alarm bells to get other dems to jump in to challenge biden. And he was objectively right about biden

There's nothing on the books that says he can't run. Just that he can't legally actually be the President of the United States. The thing with our court system is you can take virtually anything to court. Even obviously illegal slam dunk cases. Worse when you have money or power, then you can drag the case out on some false narrative what you ate doing is legal.

For the record, I know what you're getting at, and 100% agree with you that he shouldn't have been able to even run if he can't actually legally become president in the first place.

But make no mistake, he couldn't actually be the President of the United States despite his "I'll fight it in court" angle.

Ana is almost sympathetic on this. I remember when she was aghast at being attacked in a legit crime by a vagrant and posted about it, only to get utterly shit on by the left who were furious she dared to judge someone like that and that she'd involve the police etc etc

It feels like she's making this too complicated.

She's a way too online person who's realizing that she's just a normie Democrat and that that online leftists can be assholes. She shouldn't let her audience negatively polarize her. From what I've heard, the way people online treated her after was horrid. But it's so reactionary to let it make you forget everything else you care about. But it also seems to be human nature I guess.

She's a normie Democrat whose ideals include having safety as a priority but not being aggressively cruel. That's how most Democrats outside of Twitter feel (despite all the ACAB shit you see).

I never really liked the had to be born here part of being president. I mean, if someone lived here basically their entire life, has an interest in the country, wants to help, etc then thats someone who deserves a chance to run for office.
