Lol I don't have any updates, and Cable is the MVP of these so want to make sure he can find his way

I'm really annoyed that the main Metaphor Refantazio topic purged, idek how that happened. I think recently a mod made a thread about if purge length should be extended, I think it's necessary given the declining user base available to CE.

Sentencing for one of his crimes is a few weeks after the election.

Recent events and updates:

• Steve Bannon is set to be released from prison on Tuesday October 29th. He'll be on trial again on December 9th for the We Build the Wall scam.
• Classified documents case: Waiting on the 11th circuit court of appeals to rule on whether to overturn Judge Cannon's dismissal of the case.
• Georgia RICO case: Still waiting for the hearing on the appeal over the judge's decision not to disqualify Fani Willis. Fani Willis is also seeking to reinstate the dismissed charges.
• January 6th case: The case is back in the hands of Judge Chutkan and pre-trial motions are ongoing. No chance of this trial actually happening any time soon.
• New York criminal trial: Sentencing date is still November 26th as of now.
• Arizona fake electors case: Pre-trial motions still ongoing. Trial is set for January 5th, 2026.
• Rudy Giuliani was ordered to hand over a lot of his property to Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss to satisfy part of the $146 million judgement. He'll get to keep his Florida residence for now and there is also a hearing to be held over some world series rings that his son says were previously gifted to him. I believe there is supposed to be a trial in January over the Florida residence.

That's all I can remember at the moment. I'll check my notes after I get out of this meeting at work and update if there is more.

Comedian Jay Johnston has been sentenced to a year and a day in federal prison for his involvement in the 6 January Capitol riot. He had pleaded guilty in July to a felony count of interfering with law enforcement officers who were trying to stop a mob of Trump supporters from storming the US Capitol

He plead guilty to a felony, possibly as part of a plea deal.

Yes. He's evicted and they now legally own the stuff. If he's occupying it, the cops can legally remove him for trespassing. If he tries to take anything on his way out, that's stealing.

The case in Pennsylvania against Elon Musk and America PAC is moving to federal court, I guess. I think the plaintiffs are gonna try to keep it in state court, but Elon Musk filed a motion last night to have the case moved to federal court.

I assume this is because he thinks Trump will be in office and can put a squash on it or pardon him.

In related news, Trump has found stooges dumb enough to file a lawsuit against CBS News for Harris's 60 Minutes interview.

It is extremely dumb and a blatant misuse of Texas's deceptive business practices statutes.

Unfortunately, it's likely to be very drawn out and has a good chance of going to trial as it was filed in the Northern District of Texas where Kaczmaryk is the sole District Court judge.
