so we all know the price is far more than is reflected at face value, we get that. but this goes a step further

im looking at tickets for an upcoming football game and want to do some comparisons. i see, yeah, similar sections are $400 on stubhub, $430 on ticketmaster, and $440 on seatgeek. but like i said above, that's not the ACTUAL price, so i need to get the ACTUAL prices before pulling any triggers.

stubhub? fuck you. stubhub takes you through 8 "slideshow-esque" clicks, each one making you enter some information. email, phone, address, etc. fortunately i was able to give them burner bullshit. it just took forever. some of the clicks were even like "click here to confirm your tickets will be on your phone! awesome!!" and "click to confirm your email before advancing!" (not even making me open my email for an actual verification check). anyways, get through that hideous process and finally see the final price tag of $1320 (for two tickets). didn't have to enter my credit card info yet which was excellent.

ticketmaster? semi-fuck you. although i was able to click two seats and click "check out," there was a giant "SIGN IN NOW" window that popped up over the checkout screen. however, i was at least able to see the final cost ($1340 for two tickets) on the blurred out page, so that was less effort.

seatgeek? fuck you. one of the first 2-3 steps is enter your credit card info. go fuck yourself if you think i'm going to give you my CC before even seeing what the final number is.

stadium venue websight directly? fuck you. redirects to ticketmaster.

like fuck off with all this. and i havent even touched on the notion that the actual purchasing of two ~$450 tickets is going to cost me the literal equivalent of a third ticket. this topic is just about the shittiness ASIDE from that.

we'll see if i go or not. love football but this is just unacceptable, and going is just enabling it (although me deliberately not going isn't going to move the needle in the slightest towards solving anything)
