I have enough money to get there and hopefully get a mailing address so I can apply for some basic benefits

then I just need to find work and save up enough to at least rent a room somewhere, I think I can do it might take me a month or so

I would recommend trying to get a job for the state (any state.) They take anyone have great benefits great pay and you help your state

Takes a LONG time to get approved but you should apply ASAP and as mcuh as possible

It probably depends on what part you live in. In LA, sure, but a lot of places nowhere near it, probably not so much.

I eventually got one by talking to someone at usps that was cool

the state knows Im here I should have a case manager by Monday theyll help me get hooked up with some food stamps and insurance Im sure, maybe get me on the waiting list for some low income housing hopefully although I think that takes at least 6 months to even get that process started really

have an interview to work at a big water park though that sounds like a very fun job the pay is not much but if I get it they wont be able to keep me off the dang waterslides

a lot of reasons

  1. I didnt really know the people I was living with well, I did not know they would be having strangers over so often, and I did not know about all the drugs they sell
  2. My allergies were absolutely killing me. I was on two medications and Flonase but my eyes still felt like they were on fire especially whenever I tried to sleep since they smoked indoors so much
  3. When I first got there I had a bed to sleep on but my dads wife ended up needing to stay there two and she is recovering from back surgery so she understandably needed a bed. I was moved to the couch but it was pretty filthy, I dont even wanna say the gross stuff I found while cleaning under the cushions
  4. Bugs and overall home cleanliness were as bad as it gets. I eradicated their fruit fly problem while I was there but theyve still got roaches living in their kitchen and they are all terrible about just leaving food lying around all over the place
  5. I was not getting along with my dad at all, I became very emotional about a disagreement we had
  6. The state of Georgia has almost no social services to speak of, and I am in desperate need of such helps

Also rural life is no place to be without a home. There arent many stores and there was literally a bear there that would eat peanut butter out of the bird feeders their outdoor camera would catch it

ye, that's true. iirc the homeless population is much greater in calif. than most parts of the midwest. you can't do that in winter.

it's sad because it's almost entirely out of circumstance. everything is so fucking unaffordable. but yeah at least there are benefits available if you know what you're doing. or try hard.
