Hmm lets see here since I never thought about it in evens and odds before.

Odds - 1 ok, 3 sucks, 5 great, 7 good, 9 great, 11 never played, 13 great, 15 never played

Evens - 2 sucks, 4 sucks, 6 great, 8 great, 10 great, 12 sucks, 14 never played

Thats fairly even for me.

4, 6, 8 and 10 vs. 7 and 9. Even takes it.

4, 6, 8 and 12 are among my favorites

6 is my favorite game ever, 4 and 10 are outstanding, and I really liked 12. Easy.

Odd

Even has my favorite, VI, but I haven't played VIII/XII/XIV, II is awful, and IV/X are just ok. VII is my 2nd favorite, plus odd also has V, XIII, and XV which I have enjoyed playing.

It's neck and neck for me, but even having X and odd having IX tips the scales in favor of even

X is my favorite game ever, VI is great, XII is pretty good (on PS4), VIII is okay, IV is meh, and II sucks

XV and XIII are great, V is very good, VII and III are good, I is decent, and IX is my least favorite

Guess I go with evens here but it's close. If nothing else then as a tiebreaker, more of the ones I'm interested in but haven't played (5, 6, 14) fall in the evens slot.

It's honestly a split for me.

Good Odds: I, V, VII, IX
Good Evens: IV, VI, VIII, X,

XII and XIII both being mid cancel each other out.

I voted Even because XV sucks so bad and a lot of people like XIV.

Even though 5 is my favorite and 2, 8 are among my least favorites, it has to be even. 4, 6, 10, and 12 are the other titles in my top 5.

Even has VIII and X so I'll take it by default

It's a really close one for me.

I really liked VII-R and IX is among my favorite games.

VI is very well-made and X is such a beautiful experience. But XII being what it is really dragged the evens down.

1 is solid for what it is. Never played 3. 5 is fun and solid. 7 is extremely good. 9 is fun and solid. 11 is fucking rough, given the way it was designed. 13 has the best playable cast in the franchise, IMO. Haven't played 15, despite owning it.

2 is awful. 4 is basically 1 with a little more individualism for the characters. 6 is extremely good. 8's gameplay is bad, and the cast is rough. 10 has good gameplay, but awful cast and story. 12 is fine, but a bit forgettable. 14 is solid and far superior to 11.

I've gotta go with odds on this, because 11 is the only one I'd say is truly BAD, while 2, 8, and 10's story are all awful. Plus 4 and 12 are nothing special.

Loaded question. Most of my favorites including my absolute are odd, but then you have XIII souring it and XIV bringing up the awesome from even.

7 and 9 are great games.
1 and 5 are good.
13 and 15 are decent, but not much more than that
3 and 11 are skippable

4, 6, 8 and 10 are great games
14 is good
12 is decent
2 is skippable

If we assume one great game is equal to 1.5 good games, and one good game is worth 1.5 decent games, and a skippable game is worth half a decent game... so basically: Skippable = 1 point, Decent = 2 points, Good = 3 points, Great = 4.5 points

Evens: 24 points
Odds: 22 points

Even with less games, Evens pulls ahead for me.

1 and 13 are, somehow, the only ones I've beaten. Plenty of time into 8 and 10. Less so, 7 and 12. So that's three on each list. Also played 10-2 and 13-2 a fair bit, if those can be included.

And my verdict is...I dunno. Odd, I guess. 8 suffers if you don't exploit the mechanics, and 12 is 12. 13's story & characters suck, 1's a grindfest (Hi, NES version), and I never got much past disc 1 on 7. So it's not real clear-cut.

XIV is the best game in the franchise fairly easily so I really can't go with odds, even though the last even I liked before that was VI. Not have V is also a shame.

Hopefully XVI pumps up the evens more.

Evens win largely due to X carrying but IV and VI are above average

I love FF1/3/5/7 way too much. Even 9 gives me lots of good memories.

Even. Thanks to VI, X and XII. IV is also good and XIV while I haven't played it I know is very good. II is not good and I have yet to play VIII.

Odd has XIII and XV, ouch. I and III are okay. V is pretty good. IX is great, but slow and not my favorite gameplay. VII I respect for what it did and it has a lot of great stuff in its setting, but in its original form (even with the remaster on modern devices, no not the remake which is too different) I found it to feel too old to enjoy the gameplay and controls playing it for the first time last year. So IX and VII are very good, but don't reach VI, X and XII for me.

Even. VI, X, and XIV are just too good, even though IX is my favorite and VII is still a god-tier game imo

My favorite game in the series is even (X), but I'd probably put most odd games (V, VII, IX and XIII) ahead of any of the other even games.
IV and XII are just ass, while VI and VIII are alright, but still worse than the odd games of their generation.
So I'm going with odd for the sheer number of quality games.

5, 7 and 9 easily win odd for me.

Even has 4 I really like, Odd has 3.

So Even it is I guess. 14 and 10 are my 2 favorite FF games period so I suppose it makes sense.

7 is better than 6 so one point for odd.

9 and 4 are both amazing, cant decide.

15 was the first game on Ps4 that I really liked, sorry 12. Another win for odds.

I love 3, and while 10 is a good game, its very overrated. Another point for the odds.

I cant explain why I like 2, but I have to give this to 5. +1 for the odds.

FF1 is an ok RPG from the 80s. 8 is a broken, but its one of the most important games to me since I didnt really knew what true disappointment was before 8, so Ill give even one point here.

Even 8 is a masterpiece compared to 13. I dont think Square-Enix could make a worse mainline FF if they tried. So that one minus point for odd.
