One pal quit his job around the start of the pandemic and has been skating by ever since. Another quit to pursue a career in music, but he's procrastinating on that. One got laid off recently and another will likely be laid off as well.

With any luck I'll be laid off as well. That'll at least give me the impetus to search for a better one

I was thinking that since my mother needs a caregiver, but recently I was like (fuck i need a job so) so I got a part time one and i'm looking at school shit.

Like I'm not really I required to work but i'd rather do something than nothing for a few years, (hope fully not mom)

I got down to 130! now I'm 200

Yeah it's not a long term solution. I also can just skirt by on 3 months savings, it's not an answer though.

I work a corporate job to be financially comfortable. Not because it was my dream. I'm not sure how people live with so much financial risk. I couldn't do it.

I haven't played it since it went to Exalt... I really should, it's a great game

I took time off in between jobs to travel and figure out where I wanted to move, and for fun. was like 5-6 months in between jobs

I know plenty of peers who have taken 6 months in between jobs

but we're in a position where that's feasible, senior software engs

even with the big company layoffs, tech is hiring outside those companies so unemployment is low.

probably cause you kept dying, when you get get good you can get your side characters ready. Of coursese that's a pain a pain took me like me like ayrar with no hekp to get on that levelel

I did indeed keep dying. It was also back when the game was pretty new, so I imagine there have been quite a few improvements since then.
