I kinda hated it. Seemed like every character got a shit ending, and the wrap up was lame. BOOOOOOO

I kind of lost interest I think between seasons two and three or three and four I cant remember. that a huge gap during Covid and it felt like three years went by before the new season

I thought the ending was fine enough but the quality of the show between seasons 1-2 vs. 3-4 was stark. So it kinda ended on a whimper.

4 was better than 3 for sure though but nowhere close to 1-2

WTF was that? What a trip. Hader is an amazing director though. He's definitely going to be directing some movies after this

I was hoping for a five-way Mexican standoff between Barry, Fuchs, Noho, Moss and Gene, where everyone fires at once, but Gene is the one who slinks away (a la Mr. Pink in Reservoir Dogs)

it was different from what i expected. then again, this is the kind of show which you dont know what to expect with each episode... but i guess i enjoyed it!

Gene killing Barry definitely caught me off guard! then again, it was impossible to imagine a scenario where Barry had a "happily ever after" type of thing...

Barry honestly got about as good of an ending he could hope for. He died but was publicly redeemed, despite in no way deserving it.

Nah I definitely saw that coming. The only other option was for Gene to shoot himself before he knew Barry was going to confess, but then they were talking too long for me to buy that Gene didn't know Barry was there. I liked that scene, but the in-universe poorly acted movie putting him up on a pedestal didn't sit well with me. It was too good of an ending for him. I do wish Hank and Cristobal made it out together but I understand and agree with why that wasn't in the cards.

That show was great from beginning to end, and the finale was fucking great as well.

Not surprised most of CE thought it sucked though.

That was a good ending. The ending scene with Barry's fate was the best, and the "oh wow" was perfect.

My only gripe is the dramatized film at the end lasts a little too long.

They coulda spent a little more time with the showdown between Hank and Raven (you could see they made cuts when Hank is crying after they brought Barry's son out) instead of making the fake movie so long, but I did enjoy the fake movie. I think it is hilarious that he got buried at with honors Arlington National Cemetery.

I honestly can't think of another HBO series that was this consistently good from beginning to end, but I think there's a good reason Bill Hader made it only 4 seasons with 8 episodes apiece I think. He did a great job with telling a full tale without having to cut much, yet not being long winded enough to over stay it's welcome

I hear Hader's next project is a horror show or film. I'm looking forward to whatever he does next because he's obviously very good at writing, acting and directing and picks very talented people to work with
