You're right. He docked the bike at 7:19. She comes at 7:24 to rent the bike, they push it back with her on it to redock it resulting in a $0 charge on her account. He then rents it from 7:25 to 7:31 while not going anywhere and finally at 7:59 he rents it to go home. Why did he wait 40 minutes if he was still using it? Who knows?

He had his literal hands on it, so as far as anyone needs to be concerned, he was about to rent it at any moment. The woman came and took it from him at that time. Anything after that is again, completely irrelevant.

It may be common courtesy to let a pregnant lady have your bike. Im not sure why we have to give pregnant people special treatment, but sure. However him not practicing common courtesy doesnt mean she gets to try to take the bike from his hands because she didnt get what she asked for.

Its common courtesy to hold the door for someone, but if they dont you dont get to open the door, run in front of them, stand in their way, and scream at them. Thats insane behavior.

Of course its not, but, you know. Neither are lots of things. Its common courtesy to be kind to anyone who needs help; sometimes pregnant women do. But people often act like theyre somehow special in ways others who need help arent.

Yeah a lot about this is kind of problematic. I would imagine CitiBike have some kind of exclusion like 'if you dock it, its docked -- re-book immediately or lose it' policy concerning the 45 minute rule. It does read like they didn't re-book it immediately... buuut, if he had his hands on it the entire time, you'd think any reasonable person would take that as an obvious sign that it's booked.
