Anybody noticing the last couple of days on mobile ads now that take up the whole screen and you have to press the x to close them?

If that nonsense keeps happening I might have to switch to an ad blocking browser. I haven't previously because ads were unobtrusive enough that I didn't mind them since it supported the site but if this is what fandom thinks is appropriate to increase their revenue? Well ad blocking seems like what I'll have to do.

Are you talking about the mobile version of this websight specifically? Cause I haven't experienced that at all.

I used to just get banner ads at the top and/or bottom of the page. Very recently though I've been getting these full screen ads that I have to close, they're SUPER annoying. They don't show up constantly, it's just occasionally but they're annoying enough that even if they show up once every 10 min that's already too often.

Yes there's now full-screen ads that pop up when you enter a topic from time-to-time.

And of course in typical GameFAQs fashion, none of them are relevant to me.

Yeah. Id love to find a good solution for my iPad. Brave sucks overall and I hated that it redirected me to a sponsored ad page at least once a day. Safari logs me out of everything whenever I close it, so nothing that rules out adguard or anything else that requires I use Safari.

I use uBlock Origin on Firefox Mobile and never see ads here or anywhere else.

I'll happily start blocking them while I was content to let them show up before.

Inserting them occasionally in between posts already gets my eyeballs on them. Making me instinctively click an X every couple page loads not only just pisses me off but I'm not even registering what it was trying to advertise to me.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Firefox mobile. It logs me out every time a page reloads.
