- Paranoid does interesting things but I dont much care for it, personally.
- I still hate Nilah as a character. Hell out of my botlane! Decent theme, though, but pretty "safe."
- I like when PSO2 isn't just screaming in your face. I've grown to appreciate it a bit more in the past two years. Today's CHUNITHM is... some kind of merging of 2000s DDR and Touhou piano, which is kind of neat, but not enough to overcome match 3.

One of those "love at first listen" songs, though it doesn't quite edge out Taliyah for me. It missed out on BOST, so hopefully it can find some fans here! Also honourable mention to Underworks

beat the diamonds is my second favorite song in the contest!!!!! beat out only by one super mega song that is probably super easy to guess, the only other things that were even nominated that could beat it would be fort city.... and that's it!! my third favorite song nominated for the contest! ra melody would beat it out too technically if waltz2 were ra again lol

third match is awful (in that theyre both great) and both these songs should be meeting in like round 3 i have no idea what to pick right now and i honestly may just abstain, we'll see

nothing makes me feel happier than cold metallic tension like this. even tho i said fhis is a top 4 song in the world I'm honestly not sure if this is my favorite song in the contest because of eden 1 and possibly even htolniq and stellar7 and frogger underwater1/4 and the balloon game menu or maybe even dead sea? all contenders for top 10 zone at this point(I have to think about it, many of those are too "new" for me to judge proper yet ). all of these represent something very similar tbh. the inorganic meeting the organic, but without interference from "some shit head named wanda that I don't like". but this is simultaneously the most elaborate and most metallic of those all. and sometimes it sounds like journeyman project 2 or linkin park. the edgelord theme that is most perfect for me. thank you ohtani and kobayashi

I go back and forth on the vocals in Immortal, but it's a great tune.
I love how harsh Diamonds is in contrast to the ahhhhs of the LoL song. Fun melody.

Immortal: Very fun song. Very reminiscent of 90's or early 2000's indie rock bands. The vocalist is good and the instrumental and melody are very memorable and catchy. Great song.

Paranoid (World7-1): This one's pretty cool too with its erratic synths and rhythms. NeverAwake is a pretty interesting soundtrack (my favorite track being Midnight Runners (World5), which I highly recommend). The main downside of this one is the short loop, but it's still a great song.

Nilah, the Joy Unbound: League of Legends has had very consistently good music, and this one is no exception. Love the orchestration, percussion, and the vocals. Great song.

Beat The Diamonds: This one sounds like an old Castlevania song, but with a significantly less memorable melody. So yeah, this one doesn't stick with me very well unfortunately.

Superior Probe - Underworks - Scenery: This one has a very impressive soundscape. That's about all I have to say about this one, it's just very cool to listen to.

World Vanquisher: I feel like this one emphasizes the pulse a bit too much. It's got some nice piano and synth parts, but it goes a bit too hard for me to really enjoy it if that makes sense. It's still a pretty solid song though.

The last match is very difficult. I have Superior Probe winning three matches in my favorites bracket, and yet here we are.

i don't understand why pc building simulator is a thing that exists but if it produces music like this i'm okay with it. I don't think this is the sort of music that would stick with me long-term but I enjoyed it. I suppose it would make a decent enough OST to listen to while building a PC, but that's something I only do once every 5-8 years so. Maybe that's why there's a simulator, because you don't get enough opportunities otherwise.

I'm paranoid someone is going to get very angry at me for not voting for paranoid in this match. Rip my social status (haha as if I had any of that). Actually this is growing on me. this feels like Toxcore but with a much more regular rhythm. I kind of like it. Also industrial sounds are just cool this is an objective fact all music should be composed form within a factory.

Nilah, joy unbounded sounds like someone whose joy is, in fact, unbounded. i wish my joy were unbounded. bounded joy sucks. almost makes me want to play league again, to pretend to be her for 40 minutes at a time, but her style of character is one i never really like playing. the breakdown at the midpoint before going 700% ham is so good. Actually relistening to it I kinda feel like it doesn't quite resolve fully, in an almost melancholy way? that might just be my brain implanting things on the song tho.

dear whoever decided to change the name of medarot to medabots, good job you made the Objective Right Choice. The song sounds better than I remember it. I think I'd love a remix of this with a bit more depth, but as-is it's just too simple.

oh hi it's a pso2 track. Intro is really nice tone-setting, let's see where it goes from here. Kinda doesn't, kinda disappointing.

oh no this is going to be another overpowering bass rhythm song isn't it? okay it's dropped in and it's actually not that bad? like i still emotionally detest the style but it could be worse, ooh this mid part with chanting (and not an overpowering bass!) is actually just fantastic. Close match in the end, wish this track were more consistent 'cause then it'd be easy.

Immortal was just eh to me, but I loved Paranoid's synth things at the start and it was just generally a very good so that won for me
Nilah and Beat the Diamonds was so so hard to decide on, but I think I'll end up going with the latter just because it's really good throughout, whereas Nilah for me was really really amazing for one section but then just fairly okay otherwise
Superior Probe has the amazing chaotic mechanical ambience vibe that i love but World Vanquisher was way too much of a banger for me not to choose it

Immortal has become the song I've come back to way more than any other this season AND YET here I am voting against it! 'Wtf!' Extremely unfairly good day with 4/6 being among my top favorite discoveries. Either song in match 1 vs Nilah would break my heart all over again

Paranoid is my least favorite today, for most of the song all the noises are too disorienting. The melody at 0:54 suddenly makes everything fall into place, I wouldve liked to have that kind of structure in more of the song.

The fast vocals at 1:00 of Nilah are the highlight. I also like how the percussion carries on that energy afterward.

World Vanquisher is all over the place, the piano, chorus and synths all sound great but when they get together its overwhelming. My favorite part is probably 2:53-4:00 which goes a little less hard than most of the song and gives everything a chance to shine.

And shout out to Underworks, my pick for A4 retiree. This is the first such pick Ive actually voted for and boy does it deserve it. Very high quality day overall.

I'm glad I kind of pushed through multiple listens of Immortal. I had this vibe that it would be the sort of song that would click after a few listens, and I think my pickiness for lyrics has eased in the end!

Paranoid is no slouch either, but it just ends by the time I start to get into it! Sometimes I don't mind that, but this is the sort of song that I feel ought to be longer.

+1 for Team "Wtf Both These Songs Are Really Good Though??" Nilah is such a joy, pun intended. So flighty and breezy with enough variation in the vocals to not get on my nerves.

Best the Diamonds feels so strong for a song that's so simple. You really feel the weight of a powerful foe. Good GB music is like an act of wizardry man. Still going for League with my vote but I'm happy to hear this one too.

Underworks Scenery tickles my ears in a way that makes me happy. A song with a good texture just <3 woo!

I was expecting a ZUNpet jumpscare every time World Vanquisher went ham with the piano lol
