Spider-Man 2 blowout isn't supposed to be until August so I wouldn't expect it, but who knows

I think because some of the work had already been done with that MGS3 Pachinko machine

MGS3 at the very least would be the most interesting game to remake of the 4, mechanically.

Konami just knows MGS3 is the best one and might as well remake the one that's the best and leave the rest in the dust

No way Spider-Man 2 completely misses this. I'd guess we get a release date here, and a couple minutes of gameplay.

They already remade MGS3 with Subsistence, though. The original version was way worse.

Remaking MGS1 makes the most sense for sure. Definitely the one that needs it most.

MGS3 requires the least story baggage to get into and is the most interesting & varied title gameplay wise, it makes sense to me.

Maybe they'll be remaking them in chronological order lol.

Peace Walker next. Can even reuse assets for that one.

There are several references to Outer Heaven and Big Boss that don't make any sense if you haven't played MG 1 and 2. Not enough to completely ruin the story or anything, but it might leave a new player wondering why the ninja hates Snake so much.

I imagine for MANY people, like myself, that MGS was their introduction to the series, considering the hype around it.

Yeah I went back to play the first two much later as well because I fell in love with series. Played MGS1 first and it was completely fine.

They even had those text summaries of the first two games for anyone who wanted to know more

I think it's on PSN for PS3/PSP/PSV.

And the PS3 runs PS1 disc copies too.

Let me just go back in time and un-sell my original ps3 phat

All PS3s are backwards compatible with PS1.

I've made changes to my schedule so I can now stay up for this today before my bedtime

MGS3 is my favorite video game of all time and it kinda sucks that there's no way I can get excited about tomorrow given how things have been with the series (and Konami in general, obviously.) Maybe that'll change depending on who's heading this up and what we see - I wasn't sure it was possible for a RE4 remake to be at all meaningful or worthwhile and I was just proven extremely wrong on that so I guess I should be a bit more open-minded!

The best possible thing I can hope for right now is that in addition to whatever the new project is they finally let the legacy collection out of PS3 jail.

All of the MGS games need some kind of rerelease, the accessibility state of the series is terrible. 2, 3, and Peace Walker are backwards compatible but only on Xbox and 1 is on GOG on PC. 4 is not available anywhere. This is actually better than some years ago when none of the games other than V were available on current systems. As for 3, in addition to that being the fan favourite and chronologically first, it also did not sell that well. There is a big market of people that like MGS and never played 3. See also Majoras Mask 3D outselling the original.

You would also expect that Silent Hill 2 will be here since that game seemed mostly done. For Sony themselves though aside from the obvious Spider-Man 2 Im not sure what else they have. I guess well see that multiplay The Last of Us game.

I feel like the Sony show is the only one that's reliably decent at worst.

2018 was bad to the point they stopped doing physical press conferences.

However I think were past the point of bad shows from the platform holders now because if they dont have the lineup they simply dont show up at all. The worst is a well that was okay. I dont even remember the last show from one of the big three that was bad, it probably was that 2018 show.
