Does anyone with an iPhone see the game OUTERGATE on the app store? I can Google it and its there, and it says only available on the app store for iPhone and iPad, but when I search for it there, I come up empty.

Im disappointed because its the kind of game I think Ill like; turn based, (admittedly stereotypical) anime waifus, and a battle system like Epic Seven (made by the same devs, so no surprise).

I believe it's called Outerplane. Yeah I was interested in it. Was even able to download the SEA APK for it. But for whatever reason, it has a graphical error on my pixel 6 pro that shades everything dark and funky. Don't have a problem with that on my OnePlus 7 Pro for some reason. But I'll be waiting for global. Has a good Epic 7 feel but 3D. and pantsu shots <__<

So far, I've been just fine with the F2P core of Trailblazer, March 7th, Dan Heng, and Natasha. I've been using Himeko (my only 5-star character) a bit too, but apparently she's one of the weaker 5-star characters. Whatever, I'm just playing to enjoy the story anyways. As long as I can eventually beat all of the story stages, I don't care all that much about having the best characters, maxing out the ones I do pull, or falling behind other players in terms of progress.

I feel the same. Im playing this for the story and characters. Ill stay as long as I can continue to do the story with whoever I happen to have. In other words the more I can half ass it, the better.

No problem. She's my only 5-star right now (I didn't pull for Seele) so I'm glad someone is getting use out of her as a support. She's a great AoE unit, but not really all that good for big single-target bosses.

I finally managed to complete world 3 of Simulated Universe with the default F2P core. I got really lucky on the way and got a benefit (can't remember if it was a blessing or a curio) that split incoming damage evenly across my whole team, so between that, the trailblazer's taunt, March 7th's shield, and Natasha's healing, I just went full turtle mode and eventually whittled the boss down. I nearly lost when I wasted my ults at the end of his phase 2 (not even knowing he had a phase 3 because I had never made it that far) but I managed to survive.

I'm not even going to touch world 4 until I can level my characters up more. I'm at TB Lv38, and I think you can unlock the next equilibrium at 40.

Heh. So today's update adds "Dante's Notes", an in-universe lore bible written by Dante to help prevent themselves from losing their memories again. Basically, if they wind up with another new head, they can read their notes to get back up to speed. But more importantly, it reveals that weekly maintenance is canon so that Faust can make improvements to the Bus. And also, that the game's UI is mostly handled through Dante's PDA apparently.

1) I don't have Asta leveled up, only the core four I mentioned and Himeko.
2) How do you sub out characters in the middle of a SU run? I never figured out how to do that.

Mentioned Asta mostly because she's a decent buffer, is Fire type, and everyone gets her. You could always consider raising her as part of your World 4 prep, otherwise probably just go for a double DPS comp with Dan and Himeko. I don't think leveling Asta should be too taxing on your resources, since you're not really rolling right now, unless you'd rather spend stamina farming other things (or you have someone else you'd rather raise instead).

Edit: My comp suggestion wasn't for you to try World 4 now, just as something to consider when you feel ready to tackle it.

As for swapping characters, once you've used the terminals in Respite rooms to download an additional character, you just use the Team option (the three person icon) to swap your formation, just like you would in the overworld. You just only have access to anyone you've downloaded for the current run.

You don't need fire. SU4 just needs fast units that can build your Aeon burst thing and a singular focus into a path. Breaks are nice to have, but the current fire units simply aren't good enough (I lied. I forgot about MC Fire). Breaks become more reliable once you have really good equipments but it's actually just better to put better units on there. Like an Asta is great but a Bronya is several times better because she's in essence, more than double the number of your best DPS. Asta is still great cuz of her constant speed buff, but I'm saying Bronya is better.

Obviously if you don't have Bronya then you should invest in Asta. I think she's underrated, despite me saying all that.

Hmmmmm... all right, I think I'll raise Asta up then. And thanks for telling me about the character swap thing. I'll try it out the next time I go into SU.

My recommendations were based on what I know Cal has (i.e. free units + Himeko). Bronya is irrelevant because I'm pretty certain they don't have her, and supports aren't available for SU.

Yeah Asta is my peasant Bronya. Still cool tho because she can burninate as well as speed up the team.

Not only do they use paid diamonds before the free ones, but the rate up banner is paid only. Not only that, but the free diamonds can only be used on whats essentially the friend point banner for most games; you cant get SSR characters from it. I hope later in the game theres a free banner with SSRs, otherwise thats complete bullshit. Imagine a game where you HAVE to spend money just for a chance to get an SSR <_<

Some people are reporting issues launching the game. If that happens to you, try adding pgr.exe to Steam as a non-Steam game and see if that works.

Edit: Okay, I got rid of the beta client, downloaded the fresh one, set it up, and played it for a few minutes. No issues for me so far. The launcher will keep the game from launching right after you start it as it checks the files but that finishes in a minute or so and you'll be good to start the game after that. You can also set the launcher to start after the computer boots to speed that up if you want. YMMV.

I'm seeing word of a bug for those with ultrawide monitors but it seems people came up with workarounds for it. The same goes for the nitpicks some players have regarding keybinds -- there are some guides for setting more comfortable binds. Hopefully, with the wider distribution, Kuro can patch up some of these rough edges.

I personally use a PS5 controller and have gotten used to dedicating a "shift" button to access the stuff I lack buttons for. It took a while but I think it's fine for controls.

Been using a PS4 controller since day one. By shift button you mean the button to hold down to press the other set of orbs? I got used to it too lol.

For a game like this I'd rather use a controller than a keyboard.

Yep. The PC client now also gives me the ability to hold the shift + normal attack buttons to continuously attack without needing to mash the normal attack button like I did on the emulator. It's less wear and tear on the controller.

Edit: I do have one gripe about the PC client but it's not unique to this game. Rainbow Cards you buy with real money are segregated between platforms and can't be used interchangeably. That means I can't buy RC on the Android emulator version with gift cards and use it on the PC client (and vise-versa). It's no different than games that don't allow paid currency to be used interchangeably between iOS and Android.

Since I like using gift cards to fund my Google Play wallet, I think I'll keep the emulator version going and just use it to make purchases. Once I trade the RC for stuff, that will be useable on the PC client. Small annoyance that the PC client can't plug in either the iOS store or the GP store to buy stuff.

I guess I forgot to beat World 6. Haven't tried W4 difficulty 2. Still can't tell which is the hardest. Probably the machine daddy but he can be trivialized with Aeon spamming
