Yeah while I usually skip the story in gachas, the presentation and production value in this game have made it decent. Nothing award winning, but the characters make it lively and fun.

the battles aren't quick

This is my biggest complaint with the game. The battles seem to take waaaay too long. I'm not confident in the dev either considering their past efforts, so I doubt this will stick.

Lucky. I'm at the part in the story with Clara and Svarog and their dynamic is adorable. Will definitely pull for her if her banner comes up.

The 'f2p' hunt lightcone is more than good enough apparently, as can get it up to rank 5 in time as well.

Alright fine I'll admit it. I have this annoying rule that I don't quit games til I've given it my due diligence.

I think Star Rails is an above average JRPG that kinda copies a E7 a lot once you get to the late game.

Turns out there really is no incentive to not run speed boots. Really gave me serious trauma from playing E7. Before that point, spend all your stam on the class specific upgrade mats and enough of the element mats. If you feel like you're done, just spend the rest of your stam on exp for each of the upgrade categories until you get to lvl 40, in which you need to spend every single stam on equipments 90% of the time. It only takes like a day or two to get the mats to fully upgrade the relevant relics. I'm not there yet but just by looking at how the game is progressing, I can easily see that this is the only way to play the game in the future.

That's probably why people are even spending a bit to get to lvl 40 asap. I think it's ok to take it slow

Also if you ever pull the knight guy, just stack def on him. There is no content where he's gonna die first. He has a revive, so why even stack hp/dmg reduc on him? Just stack def and maximize his shields. Almost every random main stat on a random main stat equipment can run def %. Flat def is fucking garbage, but they at least had the decency to not allow flat stat on main stat in exchange for having 1 more armor piece with a random stat. I genuinely can't tell if this is better than what E7 did

Dmg Boost however is op. It's better than attack mathematically, but I believe crit rate/crit dmg is better once you have Bronya, who I pulled on my 90th stack.

Bronya should not run any crit rate. She's 100% crit rate fixed on her auto attack, her only source of dmg, so yeah. She need to run max Crit Dmg on her hands. I forget if Crit Dmg exist elsewhere. It might in the sphere/rope thingy.

I think the best 4* has to just be Natasha. She's not great for progression. For physical, just use the MC. They have aoe/single target at a decent burst, and even if you have a green sphere that gives phys boost, just up that shit to +12 and that'll be plenty of dmg for speeding up progression. If you let your enemies attack you in mob battles, you just don't have enough dmg or you're in that awkward space between the equilibrium lvl. Natasha will trivialize every other content. This current banner is ideal for maxing Natasha's dupe lvl shit. Once she maxes her dupes, she's flat out one of the best units in the game, if you don't need an extra AOE dmg that is. For bosses, she does insane single target damage and essentially provides infinite healing. A good HP based build and speed boots will basically guarantee that every unit who don't get one shot will live.

Herta is op in the roguelike mode, pretty bad in other content. Ppl are calling her the worst unit but I don't think she's that bad. The roguelike mode is one of the harder content and she's great in it so who cares

Give your supporter/tanks break chances unless they prefer def%. If you don't have the ice tank guy, the MC gets a tank class alt. It's not as good of a team protector as the knight guy, but the class is the 2nd best tank in the game. Taunt sucks but it's good enough for now. Without taunt, tanks are kinda ass at protecting your team. They'll always be the last one to die, so unless you really benefit from def%, it's actually better to give them stuff like break%. Because tanks are already tanky enough atm, speed boots is almost always gonna be better.

It's just E7 all over again. Luckily getting hit also fills your specials, but tanks will almost always outlive your party. Every fucking difficult enemy random targets (as far as I can tell, unaffected by tank guy's targeting passives) or AOEs. So not having speed boots isn't the worst, but if you had equal sub stats on 2 boots and one had speed, I will take it almost every time. It doesn't help that the roguelike mode equipments only have extra benefit from having specific speed. Almost like they're blatantly telling you straight up, just use the fucking speed boots. Everything else is trash. Pretty difficult to get their speed threshold from just substats til you get to lvl 40

Hmmm apparently if you reroll 10 times in Valiant Force 2 you get IP banned lol. I didnt care for the game though, so I didnt even make it long enough to reroll.

So I accidentally beat World 4 of Simulated Universe and then accidentally went to the final boss of World 5, who was lvl 60 Kafka, and lost.

Turns out gold equipments go up to +15 and can start with 4 sub stats, so yeah this is E7 equipment grind hell all over again. The most broken build I've seen was to have Gepard and go full in on shield related skills. They can make you do a shocking amount of damage when you get the right skills.

World 4 goes up to like lvl 57 or so. It was kicking my ass previously, and I was holding out to get to rank 40 so I can lvl up, but turns out it's possible on a party of lvl 50s

Got enough for another standard pull and not only did I get a Dan Heng dupe but a Serval dupe and a Serval LC dupe. Thinking of buying the Dan Heng in the shop, too. At first I was just going to wait since Dan Heng IL is a thing, but that's going to be...a really long time. So no reason not to spoil my current Dan Heng.

I love Dan Heng...

I wish my pulls were as fortunate. I did quite a few to get Seele, and I still havent gotten Tingyun. Meanwhile I got like 8 Natashas :<

lol thats awful. I know how it feels to get off banner stuff. In PriConne I didnt get a single banner character I wanted, and that was a big reason as to why I stopped playing. I guess the game decided I used all my luck when I got Christina and Illya on my starting roll. But in all fairness I was rerolling for hours just for Christina :<

I feel that, didn't get shit in PriConne either and the guild I joined kept saying I wasn't good enough for the Boss rush mode things that were going on, so I just quit that too.

I try to avoid Gacha communities cause there are always people posting shit like "lul F2P first 10 pull 4x copies of banner character, they good?"

People can't just appreciate their good luck, they feel compelled to gloat about it and that shit rubs me so raw lol

I had to do my 90th batch to get my Seele. ...Then I pulled her again on the next 10 while trying to get Natasha. I hate this like minimum x0 amount of pulls to get unit shit more than something more reasonable like 5% for max rarity. World Flipper hands out gems like nothing, and 5% is generally enough to get all the necessary units, I've found, as long as I don't splurge out of impatience... which has happened.

Also while Seele is pretty important, I think there are just as important characters atm, like Gepard or Natasha at max LB. Natasha at max LB might as well be a 5*. She's great because she cleanses. Her max LB basically gives her something to do when she doesn't have anything else. Her basic attack is basically better than the MC or the little girl's basic attack without building much dmg

If you can get to Forgotten Hall level 3, I recommend doing that. It gives you a free Qingque, who's surprisingly good and also quantum.

Started playing this game called fake future. It's a city builder with a gacha element for your workers. Kinda wish the UI was nicer for assigning tasks but it's ok so far

Himeko's great in Simul. That's the hardest content in the game atm from what I can see, so it's not that bad. I'm not sure wtf kinds of standards people are using to judge characters. Progression is just to stack as much DPS into one team, except the bosses might require an actual team.

I don't plan on spending on Star Rails. I refuse to support games with predatory rates. It's possible for rates to not be predatory

Is it bad that I sort of want to pull on the Seele banner, not for Seele herself, but for more Eidolons for Natasha since she's on rate-up for this banner too? Even if I lose the 50-50 for Seele, the pity will carry over to future character banners (AKA whenever Silver Wolf eventually drops) right?

Every 10 pull you do you have to win a 50/50 to have the guaranteed 4 star pull be one of the rate-up characters (unless you lost the 50/50 on the last 10 pull), and then you have a 1 in 3 chance to actually get the 4 star you're pulling for with no pity mechanic.

Genshin has plenty of stories of people failing to pull the 4 star they want in large amounts of pulls. It's obviously still better than trying to get one of the 4 stars without rate-up, just potentially deceptive about how difficult it is.

I'll keep that in mind. I have enough tickets and Jade for 110 pulls on Seele's banner. I would be hoping to get like 3-4 copies of Natasha, and maybe if I'm lucky I can get all 6. Pela is also on rate-up and she seems pretty good/interesting. Should I go for it?

With that amount of pulls, I'd expect 1-2 copies at most (assuming you lose every 50/50 and get a relatively even distribution of rate-up 4 stars). 3-4 would be fairly lucky, 6 would be really lucky.

I'd say hold off, if only because you need 180 pulls to truly guarantee Silver Wolf, and we're not entirely sure what F2P income will look like for Star Rail since we haven't had any events yet.

All right, got it. Silver Wolf is my #1 priority anyways, so I don't want to jeopardize my chances to get her. If I lost the 50-50 for Seele so the 100% pity carried over to later, that would be fine. But if I ended up getting Seele, then I might not be able to save up enough for Silver Wolf in time.

I've just reached World 11 and there's a difficulty jump, so I'm just grinding to make my units stronger. Apparently the anniversary is soon coming up as well so I'm also trying to save from pulling until then.

So... I actually accidentally beat World 5 at lvl 50...

On top of it all, the build I did it with is a Frozen build to boot. I was just doing it for the gem, and I ended up winning... The boss it turns out has a pretty crucial weakness: cleansing the shock makes her damage bearable.

Yeah, this fight is actually about showing skill point restraint and having lots of cleanse. Bronya is subsequently the MVP, Natasha basically a pre-req

If not, wait for rank 40 and just lvl to lvl 60 instead of being impatient and running one's head against the wall like I did
