Im hesitant to start the new region because Im worried therell be ANOTHER goddamn world quest thata mandatory to do any exploration.

As a warning, an upcoming event will need the world quest to be done to do it. And according to the leaks, it has no skip option.

You're kinda meant to do the quest as you explore, but it does get annoying being stopped by cutscenes every few puzzles

Which would be fine except both desert regions had you explore everything and then have to remember where everything was because the item the world quest gave you wouldnt activate anything until the quest was 100% done.

On the game now and starting to explore. Feels a bit bittersweet for me as it's the last of Sumeru/ the desert. It's been a treat.

I started playing about a month and a half ago, didn't do much pulling during the last banner and I had about 50 pulls saved for this one

Did them last night, got two Laylas, a 4S sword, a Kuki and a pity 5* that was... My second Tighnari (who is one of my only two 5*s, the other is Dehya)

So I know that MHY does some things as a "beta test" for something they plan later. Like I'm pretty sure in Fontaine we'll be seeing the Sherlock system again that we did in the Sumeru story quest.

IIRC there is that kid NPC in Inazuma who talks about this one guy who says Fontaine has flying machines. The things he told the kids are wildly exaggerated but they do have some basis in truth, so maybe we will see flying machines when we get there.

it took 80 rolls, but got nilou on my first try, plus up to c2 kuki and c5 layla. now i've got 150 rolls left over to go for baizhu next banner with guranteed 50/50 as well :)

I have Kuki up to C5 now, got lucky with the 20 pulls I've done. Not sure if I want to see if I win the 50/50 for Nilou or just save up for Kaveh/Baizhu.

Saved up some standard fates to roll as soon as 3.6 dropped; I didn't get Dehya but I did get another Kaeya con, meaning I only need one more for C6.

Quick question, all. When I pulled for Dehya's sig weapon, I also acquired two each of Alley Flash and Alley Hunter. I have no idea who these weapons are good for lol.

The bow is stronger than Stringless on Fischl when not on a aggravate/hyperbloom team (where the extra EM on Stringless is appreciated more).

I guess you could give the sword to Kuki or Nilou but it wouldn't benefit them much because AFAIK they care more about EM than ATK/damage.

I dont use Fischl much anyway, think Ill move Stringless to Faruzan since I have actual plans for her.

Also have more than enough billets for an r5 Iron Sting to slap on Nilou, so Ill probably go that route.

Maxed out the tree but I need 8 more oculi for the Statue, which I'll do tomorrow. I'll also finally get a move on with the world quest and Nahida pt 2, which I need to kill that new world boss before the week resets.

In general, I'm really happy with this new area. Been a blast to explore and collect things and I love the Sorush gadget mechanics.

TIL: Sorush can carry skills/bursts with them in flying mode, so you could essentially do something like Kaeya burst or Xiangling burst and attack enemies without getting aggro lol

When I die, I hope heaven is where Kirara really exists.

The new area is all over the place.
On one hand, UGH MORE SAND, on the other the caves and oasis look really beautiful in some places. On one hand kind of linear and easy to explore, yet basically a punch in the face to everyone who didn't get Scaradouche, because most of the cliffs are very tall and have an angle at the top you cannot climb.

Same! I wrapped it all up just now I think. I love this patch's new area. And we're probably getting more Sorush gadget fun times with that upcoming event, too. Though I still think it's unfortunate newer players are apparently completely out of luck. :/

Jesus, that F11 is so ridiculously tanky with massive multi-wave encounters, it's like I'm doing F12 at this point.
F12 is cancerous waaaaaay beyond Wenut and Scorpion+Bird

Mihoyo officially raised the difficulty of F11 to F12 and of F12 to F13 at this point

Yeah Kirara obviously isn't keeping that almost 1700% dendro damage multiplier as a 4* shielder with a sturdy full uptime shield.

I wish people would stop talking about the notion that Fontaine will have craftable weapons with HP% as their primary. Because that would be incredibly useful for several characters. And Hoyo's mantra is if it's useful, we can't have it for free, right? Which means they'll probably give us more weapons with ER% instead, since we don't seem to have enough of those yet.

I just want an hp% spear. There's too damn many polearm users that scale on HP to not have a 4* option by now.

I mean, that's not too bizarre of an expectation. All Inazuman craftables have energy-related passives and/or ER substats. Sumerunian(sp?) craftables have EM substats and/or passives. You can excuse the variety of the older craftables due to Monstadt/Liyue being the 'tutorial' nations. I would make sense to make HP-related ones for Fontaine.

Yaoyao literally has the ability to spawn 2 Yueguis but the skill cooldown/duration doesn't allow it and for some reason Sac Spear is missing.

Apparently the lack of a Sac Spear is due to lore reasons.

sounds like i'm safe. i have thalasaphobia, so i literally don't know what i would do if underwater exploration became a requirement to keep up with the story.

The pixie thing is nice for a uav to try and find explorables, but fucking hell this world quest is more dialogue than sonic 06 was loading screens.

And joy, more shitty unmapped underground. Cant wait to see how fontaine makes it even worse.

Can I do anything with a Widsith?

Widsith is probably the best four star catalyst in the game and rivals some five stars. Which is, of course, why I haven't pulled a single one in two and a half years of playing this game.

Some of the leaks did say underwater exploration will be a thing. I think it was during the giant leak tsunami a while back.

My wife and I are having great luck on these banners.

She was pulling for Nahida and lost the 50/50 to Keqing...but later in that same 10 pull also got Nahida, along with like three 4 stars.

Then I was pulling a bit for Nilou, not really expecting to get her (I had just got Shenhe C1), and got her in 30 wishes.

I realized I didn't have a great sword for her, so figured I'd do one 10 pull on the weapon banner since I'd been wanting Xiphos anyway and...got it! But then I also got Nilou's Key of Khaj-Nisut in that same 10 pull lmao.

Now we'll have no luck in Fontaine.

Speaking of luck, I'm in the soft-pity zone on the standard banner. If I were to stack rank five star pulls, I'd rate them as such:
