Because there werent any dungeons shown, just open world stuff and weapon and vehicle crafting. So everyone is back on the theres no dungeons! Its just a sandbox DLC! bandwagon again. Never mind that what was shown yesterday was insane.

Isnt that because they dont want to spoil the dungeons? Just because they didnt show any doesnt necessarily mean they dont have dungeons I assume Nintendo told the players to only show certain things

Yeah it was a very controlled showcase. And we saw what I assume are dungeons in the last trailer anyway. And apparently what got IGN in trouble in the first place was they said they found a dungeon entrance and the Nintendo reps told them dont go in there

They probably want to keep them a surprise. To not give away everything before the game even comes out

Hopefully they improve dungeons in general. Puzzles like the camel one are annoying to do in 3D.

I got my shiny new TotK Switch OLED

I have a near launch Switch that's been used heavily, and other than the joycons being completely fucked, it still runs fine, but I'm worried that one day it just might die on me, so I'm considering maybe getting a new one, but also the successor might be out next year or something so idk if I should.

I had mine since launch. But I really like the Zelda switch, so I got it. And Im not even sure the successor is coming out soon It might. And Ill probably still get it, anyway

Busted out the old Gamecube, popped F-Zero GX in. God damn does this game hold up. It's too bad F-Zero wasn't more popular. At least Mario Kart 8 is basically modern F-Zero, just wish they would do a proper follow up.

It's more that it's just a tedious chore than a genuine challenge to overcome, at least past the early game where you legitimately have to consider how best to use the few attacks that stick will give you and/or rely on non-weapon attacks (like runes). It's not hard to find a comparable weapon to replace whatever just broke, it's just a bunch of unnecessary menuing and inventory management to maintain a stockpile to use, with periodic farming if you want to use something that doesn't drop readily (like Savage Lynel stuff). It also means any cool new thing you find is only going to be temporary, dramatically limiting its usefulness. It doesn't ruin the game, by any means, but it's definitely not a good system.

That said, depending on exactly how it works, fusion could turn it from a tedious chore into something actually entertaining, so I'm looking forward to seeing how that works.

They should just give us sidequests to get unbreakable equipment.

I don't know if it's my joycons or my Switch itself but they keep coming detached while playing. Not sure how to fix it if it's the Switch.

Joycons are basically cardboard and will all break eventually. Never seen one of those $70 controllers last more than 2 months without breaking.

I'm 4/4 pairs broken, and we play smash a lot.

Idk. The only pair Ive had break was the first ones, and thats because the pocket I constantly stuff them in was way too small But all my other pairs are fine. I have 5 other pairs that work fine (Though one pair is brand new, so)

I just use third party controllers. Beboncool. Theyre cheap, and tend to die after like a year, but at least they dont drift.

I'll just buy new ones when I can.

Got to Chapter 9 in F-Zero last night. As a kid I never got past Chapter 6, but turns out it's not that bad. I also completed Chapters 2, 3 and 4 on Very Hard and got those AX racers. Also I've completed Chapters 1, 5, and 8 on Hard. Chapter 1 VH I don't even know WTF. Chapter 5 seems very doable, but it requires perfection. Gotten close a few times, but I always seems to drive right through one of the energy pellets and just not pick it up, so then I don't have enough energy to boost for a portion of the track. Chapter 8 I don't even know. Deathborn just seems to get faster and faster every lap, to the point that after lap 1 I never see him again. Not sure how I'm expected to keep up then win. Feels like I'm missing something in this mission. The idea of doing Chapter 7 on Hard and Very Hard scares me. It was already pretty difficult on Normal.

To bait people into clicking on it to leave angry comments. From the channel's perspective, views and comments are views and comments, no matter what the nature of those views and comments are. It all counts as "engagement," which they need for Youtube to keep supporting them.

Indeed. Games media is widely treated as a marketing department by publishers and are pretty much entirely dependent on keeping their favour. I'm not too broken up by the occasional story of an outlet biting back.
