any of you here have gotten it in the past month or 2? supposedly covid is getting better in the u.s. For example you don't hear about it in the news as much

I got it twice, the second time was while I was studying for my provinces legal licensing exam

I haven't fallen ill from anything since the pandemic started.

Cases aren't being reported reliably anymore because most surveillance programs have been dismantled (even JHU's) and at-home testing is the principle method now but death and hospitalization rates have fallen to pretty much the lowest levels since the beginning. Even lower than May-June 2021 before the Delta variant came around. That still amounts to around 250 deaths per day in the US, but yeah.

At least there's still some variant tracking happening. Right now the biggest one of concern is one that's caused cases to rise a bit in India lately called XBB 1.16 but it's still just another variant from the Omicron lineage.

Yeah, I was sick and tested positive in both January 2021 and June 2022. The first time, I must have got it at the grocery store while wearing a mask. The second was on my honeymoon.

My roommate has it right now though, so theres a good chance that my luck will imminently run out

I have no idea if I had it even once.

Had COVID for sure last summer, and I got a mystery disease in Jan 2020 that I highly suspect was the OG COVID.

Pretty sure I have it right now, which would be my first time. Can't be 100% sure since the symptoms are the exact same I get from allergies this time of year every year and the only test I had at home was like nine months expired.

Assuming I do, honestly surprised it took as long as it did where I live.

At least 2 times confirmed and a third time suspected but never took a test. The first confirmed time was awful. The second (unconfirmed people around me tested positive though) wasn't bad at all. And the third time was positive with basically no symptoms (scratchy throat for like half a day) that I only tested because other around me had.

I'm actually super sick right now with COVID like symptoms but tested negative. As did the wife with the same symptoms. So I assume it's actually the Flu that's been ongoing for a week now.

Maybe. My first time wasnt confirmed, but most of the other groomsmen got it and I felt kind of sick but maybe it was just psychosomatic on my part or something, I didnt get a test.

I was very sick with something else about two months ago, but that was the first time I'd been ill in any capacity since pre-pandemic.

The tests are generally still pretty good post expiration.

But I got negative result three days in a row and the symptoms are different from the first two times (feels like regular cold) so I am not sure what's the deal with that

...I think only once but my memory is foggy. I mean I 100% absolutely had it once I just think that was the only time. There mightttt have been a second time but I can't recall if I'm mixing up some events in my head.

Ive been sick with similar symptoms multiple times, but never had a positive test.

Not that I'm aware of. I've been sick twice since covid, but tested negative each time. One was just a cold, and the other was seemingly just a super minor flu or something that only lasted a day.

November 2020 my roommate got me sick. Then again this past December at a Christmas party. Confirmed positive test both times. Similar symptoms both times though I think my headaches were a lot worse the first time while the fevers were worse the second time. Neither time resulted in coughing so that was good.

I've been exceptionally fortunate. If I've had COVID, I haven't realized it.

Twice - first time was mild four days, minor fatigue for 2 weeks. Second time was mild two days, one kind rough third day, then it went away. 8 months apart
