You just need to hope it's the right type Anyway, decided to try a randomizer and got Gabumon X, which seems pretty cool --- My sister's dog bit a hole in my Super Mario Land cartridge. Basic gist is any Digimon can evolve into any Digimon, depending upon their experiences. Of course different media has different restrictions.
