It was just a lot more hardcore magic-science talk and overall the mood was depressing as hell, whereas the previous 3 books had lighthearted times. Oathbringer is my favorite, too, as is Dalinar. I also ADORED Navani and Raboniel throughout The Navani stuff was so repetitive. The Kal stuff was even more so. Sanderson wrote himself into a corner deciding it'd be a 2x 5 book series. The last 2 books have had so much drawn out, repetitive filler.
