3E+78 is a little more than the age of the universe. The universe is about 1.4E+10 years old, which is more than 68 orders of magnitude smaller than this.

well, it's the in-game universe so there's a further multiplier

The purple track takes a little over 3000 in-game years, but about 2.38 real-time years, which is the figure he used to calculate 3E+78. Even if it were talking about in-game years, though, that's only a multiplier of about a thousand, which would still be 65+ orders of magnitude older than the universe. That's still a significant difference, by virtue of how multipliers work, but it doesn't change that the age of the universe is still much, much smaller than that figure.

3E+78 is pretty close to the total amount of atoms in the universe, so that's why he gave it that name.

There's various theories about the timeline of the universe's heat death. According to the most likely proton decay theory, by 3E+78 years they should all have decayed into radiation. At that point the universe would consist mostly of massive black holes, with ones the mass of the sun having evaporated via Hawking radiation.

I see what you did there

But also, in that far flung future of just black holes, there's a possibility that random quantum fluctuations create a new Big Bang and a new universe is born
