Literally only drove through once, not sure if I even stopped.

Been here my whole life

• Not everything in Lancaster is Amish but you SHOULD expect to see horse and buggies driving through the city at all hours and parked at restaurants.
• Everything is a jawn.
• Everywhere has the best Philly cheesesteak and most of them are lying
• Chicken and waffles is chicken gravy, not fried chicken, and chicken pot pie is a soup for some reason
• Best Potato chip selection in the country
• Potato rolls are way better than most breads
• Whoopie pies and fasnachts are delicious but if someone offers you a vegan alternative turn it down
• Reading sucks

it's a state. relative to the northeast, it's a big state

the philly area is impressively different from the pittsburgh area

i don't know to which one i can see myself more belonging- i haven't spent enough time there, especially pittsburgh

I don't have much of an impression of the state, really. I hear their sports fans are terrible. A handful of fictional characters are from there, many of which I would have nothing to do with if they were real. Philly was temporarily the nation's capitol, though that seems to be the only thing they had to do with the country's founding. Yeah. Not much.

yeah Philly and surrounding areas (New Hope, Phoenixville come to mind) are generally awesome and I barely have gone into central/western PA (Lancaster or York are the farthest Ive gone?). Gettysburg is neat too since its a huge trail and filled with civil war stuff

some of the ski resorts arent bad either but not as good as the ones up further north

I haven't spent tons of time in Pennsylvania, but it's not a bad state. Rivers Casino is decent, and Hershey's thing with the ride and the gift shop introduced me to Take 5 chocolate, so I have fond memories.

I've been camping near the Delaware Water Gap many times over my life and I absolutely love it there.

I'm going to a gay ass camp site in Penn this summer that's clothing optional so the state's got that going for it at least

Never had any sort of desire to go there. It's on the level of Delaware to me. I have been there though, in a suburb of Philly. It sure was a suburb. I heard Philly is actually great though if you give it a chance.

I own a campground in Central Pennsylvania. In fact we were named campground of the year 2023 by the largest campground franchise in the world this year.

I live in PA and like it for the most part.

Hello, born NJ, live in OH, went to school close to Drexel, and vacationed in PA a lot during my teen years.

- Philadelphia sports teams are okay, but their fanbases are a wretched hive that put UK footballers to shame. Except Flyers fans, who are cool (and Gritty is a national treasure.)
- I will never understand how Steelers fandom infiltrated northwest Ohio.
- Yinz is not a word. Jawn is acceptable only for shitposting purposes.
- Lancaster is the second most boring place in the country. First is Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia.
- Knoebel's is a better amusement park than Hershey's or Sesame Place.
- The PA turnpike is actual highway robbery when I-80 exists.
- PA drivers are up there with Michigan in terms of "fuck outta my way." At least with NJ, your lunacy is expected to not crash. Meanwhile, OH drivers somehow manage to crash going in a straight line for 30 miles because they are largely on narcotics at the time... and STILL safer than PA drivers.
- The Poconos are wonderful and I wish I could live up there but they're too pricey for me and there's nothing job-wise there, either.
- South Street Philadelphia is... certainly a place. Comparable to Key West Duvall street, with less drag but more sex shops.
