Watched John Wick 2 tonight. Not as good as the first, but it was still fun. The first half was kinda slow, but the final sequence was pretty great. Loved the Fishburne cameo.

Ted Lasso Season 3 Episode 6 complete!

We had technical difficulties with this episode all week. It would freeze at the exact same place every time. I looked it up online and found out we weren't the only ones. Thankfully we were finally able to finish it today because this is when the next episode drops!

So I've been very slowly playing Disco Elysium. It doesn't feel like I've made much progress in the story because this game is so...dense. There is so much here to examine, so many dialogue options to pursue, so much lore to consume, it's almost overwhelming!

It's basically all story, with pretty minimal gameplay. Basically a visual novel with a different interface. I really liked that aspect.

Ted Lasso Season 3 Episode 7 complete!

Definitely best episode of the season so far. This is what a Bill Lawrence show can be at its best, where it can have you rolling laughing and have you on the verge of tears in the same episode.

I used to have all my old GamePro magazines from like 1996 to 2008 but I think I got rid of them when I moved away from home because I didn't have any space for them

One of the games I sold on eBay got damaged in transit. I've never had that happen before, so I'm not really sure what I should do next. I'm guessing there's some sort of ticket I can file or something.

I didn't have many myself but I loved reading the mags of other people who were subscribes. Occasionally I'd buy a particular standalone. Oh then the gameinformers when you had the gamestop membership.

I think they're all gone now too

We're slowly crawling toward the finish line! Only one season to go now, and that cliffhanger ending totally blew my mind, so I'm ready for it!

It's interesting to see a perspective of them dealing with the Challenger explosion in 1986, which took place a couple months before I was born. I know that was a major moment for my parents' generation. It's one of those "you can remember where you were" moments, like 9/11 is for our generation.

It's not "controversy." Every topic about BotW for like the last year has become overwhelmingly negative, and it's just not fun.

Like I'm sure there are still plenty of fans of the game on the board. They've probably just reached the point I have now where it's just not worth it to engage anymore.

two words. weapon durability.

Well, it's probably more than that but I feel like every BOTW discussion inevitably devolves into (if it didn't start as) an argument over weapon durability.

Topic durability is very low

Although I see Tears of the Kingdom has already leaked (as every Switch release does), so it'll be interesting to see some of the early impressions.

That and the Zelda Formula.

Which is an interesting topic for me because I love the formula, but also much less so in the modern era, so I'm ambivalent of even wanting them back. Maybe I'd be fine with the formula staying 2D.

But Tears might even address this so I think it's not worth talking about it at least after this game. Even then it deserves conversation about its own merits, but I guess that's kinda boring because no one expects this game to be worse than BotW, right?

I don't expect this game to wind up being more popular than BotW, but that'd be crazy if it happened.

BotW is a lot of people's favorite Zelda, so I'm sure there's a fair number out there who don't expect TotK to live up to that. I think it'll be great, but I dunno if it'll beat BotW for me.

Yeah, BotW was kind of magical because of how different and unique it was compared to all other previous Zelda games. I dont expect TotK to have quite the same punch in that front, but Im sure itll be excellent either way.

From an outsider perspective, a post office seems like a fairly straightforward operation. Mail and packages are moved from source to destination. I guess the reality on the inside isn't quite so simple.

I'm still surprised this actually came out. There was a long period of time with zero updates and then it suddenly got a release date. Season 3 is almost 3 years ago now.

It was nice seeing the characters again and now I'm sad it is probably over for good this time. I always loved Komachi and Hachiman's interactions when they were being a bit more serious. It didn't happen very often in the anime so it was cool to see a bit of it here. I was nice to hear that Yui ballade theme again since that's one of my favourite songs ever. One thing I wish there was more of was Hachiman interacting with Yukino. Like there were group interactions but not much of them focused on each other

Season 3 was July to September 2020. So it has been a while.
