Continuing from the previous topic, I dont think there are a TON of glaring omissions from Final Bar Line. In fact they do a very good job of hitting most of what youd expect, so its a bit more jarring when something you think SHOULD be there isnt.

Someone gave me a $25 PSN gift card for my birthday, so now I need to find something I want.

Fire Emblem Engage: Okay so I had been trying to clear the map of skirmishes/trainings before proceeding with the main story but now they're popping up faster than I can beat them (and then go around the Somniel) so I just threw in the towel and went to beat Chapter 9.

Engage skirmishes are a waste of time imo.

Yeah, I couldn't remember the exact number, but I knew it was a lot.

Anyway, I'm thinking of maybe getting Disco Elysium or House in Fata Morgana since I've heard good things about both. They're both 40, so I'd only have to pay 15 for whichever I get, which sounds like a good deal to me.

Both are solid, but I like DE quite a bit more. Plus, Fata Morgana might be better on your Switch, if reading VNs while lying down is a thing you enjoy.

I keep meaning to pick up Disco Elysium myself but keep forgetting. >_<

haven't played disco elysium so no comment there. fata morgana is very very good... but it's also incredibly long-winded, so just be prepared for that. and it has some very uncomfortable subject material.

i actively do not want rodgers. they'll end up blowing up the first actual promising team they've had in over a decade to get him and then rodgers will just berate and ruin what's left because we saw how he handled young players on the packers. and all for what? one maybe two years?

carr to the saints was like a knife to my heart because now it's so much more likely the front office goes all-in on rodgers. honestly think they always were but now unless the miracle happens with lamar i don't see them going any other way unless rodgers is a hard no on them.

Fire Emblem Engage: Chapters 10 and 11 beated.

Huh. They really took my Emblems away, huh? Also, Veyle is a cheater. I fought my way up to her in Chapter 11 and despite the stats (though not the battle forecast) saying I should damage her everything just hit for no damage. So I went to leave and she called the Four Hounds and since I now had divine pulse back from Ivy's reinforcements I was able to beat down those guys but she was still invincible. See I could have bought her invulnerability as a clever piece of story/gameplay integration while she had the time crystal as her just rewinding time to get the ideal result but once we got back it was just cheap. denied my rout. Though to be perfectly honest I doubt I could have taken her down without casualties and I was pretty low on divine pulse charges from facing the Four Hounds and solving that puzzle. Chapter 10 map theme was cool though, might be my new favorite.

Honestly I think I agree. Rodgers will cost them too much for whatever you get in return. I don't think he's worth the tradeoff.

And while Jimmy G would be an upgrade over what they had last year (as long as he stays healthy), I don't think he gets them over the top, but Jets fans will try to convince themselves he will.

Also I think if any team pulls off a miracle deal for Lamar, it's the Dolphins.

Again, excepting Lamar (and the Ravens would be crazy to not put the exclusive tag on him), Jimmy G probably is the best QB option that plausibly is available. I think the Jets become a playoff team with him - maybe win in the wildcard round. But that's probably it. I guess the ceiling might be getting hot and pulling an upset to make the AFC Championship but I don't see it going any further than that.

i guess some fans will try to talk themselves into more though

Edit: Yeah, I don't think Lamar is at all likely it's just all these QB discussions for the Jets for me come with the "If they somehow get Lamar that's actually the best outcome but that's really unlikely"

It's either Jimmy G or Tannehill. I don't think there's a big difference between the two.

The Lamar situation is wild though. I feel like it eventually ends with him on another team, but it probably doesn't happen this year.

This happened with my niece a month ago, who immediately fell off a bed and went to the hospital (ended up not being serious). Watch out around high places.

Yeah, we've been careful about leaving him unattended when he's on a couch or a bed even before now. I'm sure there will be an ER run at some point because it feels like every kid has one of those, but hopefully we'll avoid anything too major.

Yeah, trying to do 32 songs in Series Quest is rough.

You can swap between series if you want, but I never did during my initial runthroughs. I didn't do all the missions at once when I went back to clean those up, though. I just went through the series quests as fast as possible initially though, not going back to do the alternate songs when I had a choice or redoing them to complete the quests.

Yeah, that's the way I'm doing it, too.

Yeah, it's tough to focus on both at the same time. I usually try to do them right after I unlock them when I finish the Series Quest for that game.

That was a good moment. Not so good for my team which was poorly positioned to deal with it.

Yeah, that was a fun map. I actually had to restart a bit after that simply because my secondary objective of "defeat all enemies (that give EXP/have drops)" became pretty much impossible once that happened lol. Though it's possible I would have had to rewind a lot to actually be able to even win given how poorly positioned I was for all that.

I'd been playing hard/casual but trying to play as if it were classic by rewinding if I lost characters. That was the map that killed that policy. Could not rewind enough to save everyone from Ike.

I just didn't particularly enjoy the regular interruptions of the gameplay to do giant Bowser fights over and over.

Eh, there aren't that many Bowser fights, and they usually came around the time I needed to use Bowser to break blocks or whatever.
