I just started playing it. Pretty fun for a passive mobile game. Not incredibly taxing. Doesn't feel p2w yet. But I'm a big Street Fighter fan so I had to give it a shot.

Anyway, my team is currently Ryu, Cammy, Dan, and Cody. I'm riding Dan until I can't anymore. Cammy carries hard though with the combos. What team is everyone running?

I'm also a pretty big SF fan but the gameplay I saw during Capcom Cup looked pretty bad. Mobile games that are exclusively PVP have a much higher risk of devolving into P2W I feel.

I literally only use Auto mode, so not very focused at all. lol There is also only one PVP mode from what I can tell. Everything else is PVE.

I tried it, then almost immediately uninstalled it when I realised how little input there is during battles. It claimed to be an RPG, I was expecting strategy!

Also, my one aim going into it was to get Chun-Li as my main character, and it looks like she's behind a paywall.

Yeah auto mode in a game like this means why bother for me. The active mode just looks like you're tapping skills on cooldown so no thanks. I'm sure there's more strategy but this does not feel worth investing time into.

Chun-Li is not behind a paywall, you can get her in drops but she's very rare.

Production value and Street Fighter skin aside, this game is everything I hate about gachas.

Marvel Snap has set the bar too high

So from I'm getting, there's a Chinese version and a Taiwanese version of Street Fighter: Duel.

While the Taiwanese version is an auto-battler idle game, which is the one we got in English.

I actually don't have much experience with idle games, but I think it's fine as a side-game. I do like how there's no stamina from what I can tell, you don't have to feel compelled to keep running stages, you just have to check back to collect stuff.

I'm playing. It's the worst kind of auto-battler, gacha trash with a million different currencies, but it has Dan in it, so eh. Once I've maxed him out though, I dunno how much longer I'll stick it out for.

I dislike how characters have predetermined stats and usability

you HAVE to tier whore, you can't make them viable unless you waste absurd amounts of Resources,and considering how limited they are since this is a Gacha, those resources are best spent else where

with that said I still have Ryu on my team, and I have an Awakened Fei Long and Decapre. I fucking hate her but god dammit I HAVE to use her

ah okay, something I did not know

You have to have the same of the characters to awaken them

but once they are awakened, you can actually mix and match them as long as they are from the same faction, like Lightning for example

I'm thinking about sacrificing Dan and Sakura for Ryu to be an A rank Lol

Just unlocked limit break which makes things so much better.

Never have to level more than 4

Resetting a character does not undo their awakening, those are permanent

but it does give you all materials you used on them

I figured it was like half or something

oh, on the promote screen

they have a little section called "Bio"

if you click that and read their first entry, you get like 30-50 crystals per character

and if you have awaken them, they get more entries

so yea, make sure to get those, even the OC grunts have bios

Some of the fights get really brutal.

I'm currently running Abel, Adon, Cammy, Chun-Li and I'm stuck on 6-40. I just get crushed by the C. Viper and Dhalsim there. I can get it down to two right now.

I won by SHEER luck

I watched the replay like 4 times, I'm not sure what I did different

in that fight Cammy is faster than anyone I have and by the time they finish their combo the front guy in my team is dead, it doesn't matter who they are or who is assisting them.

I have Elena, Viper, Evil Ryu, and Fei Long (as frontline fodder)

I've been stuck here for about a day in a half now and I was Lvl 61 average when I first arrived

I actually resetted most of my characters and took advantage of the Limit Break thing after I read about it here and got 4 people to lvl 75

it STILL wasn't enough

again, I won by luck, I THINK there may have been a crit somewhere? But I can't replicate that success, thank god I don't have to

Yeah, I can't find that guild because for whatever reason multiple guilds can have the same name, so searching for it doesn't bring it up, and I can only search for up to 7 characters (meaning I can't go past searching "StreetF").

Not to mention that the game doesn't even let me go straight to a guild of someone from looking at their profile.
What a broken feature.

Anyways, back to your other post, do you have a Tank to use to take all the hits? I put Zangief at the front just for tanking.

There are also some characters that can act like tanks even if they're not classified as one. I know everyone I see with M. Bison uses him as a tank.

I got Elena and healing is a game changer.

I did the Battle Royale mode and ran into an M. Bison. That character is absolutely busted. Why did they think that was a good idea? He just resurrects and damages you ever time he gets taken down, and he's always on point. It doesn't even give you enough downtime to keep damaging other folks. Just completely busted.

I have been playing this game as Frugal as possible, I have drawn more than 10 times, but I decided to work with what I have and min max my resources as carefully as possible

I made it to 8-40 and 119 of Supreme fist and I cannot continue

My team is A+ at best, and I am now dealing with S+ and even SS rank fighters

The game stopped me in my tracks but luckily I DO have tokens, cards, and character shards, but damn, my journey to be as minimal as possible as ended

I hate T Hawk but as I discovered, he is AWFUL. I gave him Evil Ryu's best equipment (He has the same line as the Ryus), which includes a couple of S rank gear

put him on the LImit Break, he was lvl 119

...my A+ REGULAR Ryu actually tanks way better than he does

I legit TRIED to make him work, but holy fuck man

but yea, next time I stream, maybe tomorrow, I'll have do more a bunch more draws because I'm truly stuck now, Promoting is the only way

I can't even grind, 120 is apparently the cap? At least for my people right now, and they are there

They do have really good gear, alot of S rank stuff, I guess I COULD Level up the equipment but I don't think that'll be the answer

Yeah, T. Hawk is like the worst tank ever. I don't know what they were thinking with him. Abel is rocking it for me, until he isn't. 120 is the level cap for A+ ranks. I got Adon to S rank and I can get him to 140 now, but I have awful luck when trying to draw any of my other main squad.
