The dialogue irritates me to no end. Characters prattle on with for ages in the most disinterested tones about tribe shit that no-one gives a fuck about; least of all Aloy who sounds like she just finished a 12hr shift.

Aside from the lore with the robots and stealthing an outpost it's really trying my patience

Ya it's a really pretty unisoft games for the most part. The trapping and fighting the robot shit is nice but everything else is just dull.

It would probably be better if aloy didn't have the tech that turns the world into ubisoft game...

The modern world is definitely the most boring part of the game, but the backstory is pretty great.

I don't know why Aloy's acting is so wooden. Ashly Burch is a solid voice actor, so I have to imagine it was intentional. I've seen it argued that Aloy is possibly meant to be on the spectrum which I can kiiiinda see. Moreso with Sobeck but considering Aloy is her clone, I guess it would transfer over? Or if not the spectrum, just kinda weird from being raised as an isolated outcast.

Only played the first Horizon game, but yeah, Aloy sucked. Some of the other characters (NIL!!) were great and kooky, but the lead character mostly had boring interactions, boring dialogue, etc. Youngsters need some rebellious spunk and verve -- she mostly had neither.
