ICDs weren't something that were as widely understood then either. Kazuha was compared to c6 Sucrose, a very good character, all along. People just underestimated how much easier he'd be to use than Sucrose. Let me get this straight: I burn 40 resin on one boss that gives me one five-star artifact and 40 more resin in a domain that gives me two more. All three of these artifacts suck, so I put them in the strongbox and I get one five-star artifact. This artifact, based on my experience with the strongbox so far, most likely also sucks. I have now spent 80 resin for one piece of fodder on the snowball's-chance-in-hell likelihood that I will actually get an artifact that's worth a shit. At least I had three pieces of fodder to start with. It's like making five-star characters, releasing them, realizing they need buffs and introducing an artifact set or a four-star tailor-made to cover their deficiencies. Except in this case, the compensating factor they're attempting to get us to buy into is just as shit as the system itself. I mean, if I had a fraction of DarkRoast's luck with artifact rolls, I might give it a chance. The shitty artifacts you get from it just take away fodder you couldve used on the rare occasion that a domain or boss drops an actually decent one. And of course no one fights bosses for the artifact drops lol. But theyre there anyway. And if you need more Glad/WT it's better to SB them instead of fighting elites. Unless you already have a bunch of good artifacts to level you won't miss the XP. There's plenty of <5 fodder (as well as artifact XP potions from the Teapot) to go around. All that said, if you don't want to use them that's perfectly fine; no one's forcing you to.
