I was on the fence when it first came out because all the reviews weren't very kind about it. I received it from my brother for Christmas and I have to say, its been a lot of fun each time we've played it! Anyone else have it? I ask because we had a question come up regarding the interactions between these two cards in the picture.

One side of the argument believes that these two cards synergize and if one is currently fishing in the lake, they should be able to use my angler skill to purchase ocean fish.

The other side of the argument believes that these two cards work independently and that one should have their piece located at the ocean for them to be able to use the angler skill and buy a fish from the ocean.

I love Stardew and have played the board game just once before. Looking at the cards, I'd believe that they synergize with each other, but I'm not expert on it.

Yes it has solo play! I haven't tried it yet, usually 2 players.
