"Let's just skip right to entrees," you suggest.
"No appetizer?" Sienna asks.
"I don't need the calories."
"Yeah, he's been trying to lose weight," Glenda adds. "I'm helping."
"But I wanted some cheese curds..." Sienna bemoans.
"Then get some as a side with whatever you order," you suggest.
"I was hoping to share."
"I'd rather have fries," Glenda suggests.
"No side for me, I got weight to lose," you state.
"So one of us wants curds... one of us wants fries... one of us wants no sides..."
"You two split something if neither of you wants a full side." You shrug.
"Well then, why don't we have a tiebreaker?" Sienna asks.
Everyone looks to the one who's been quiet this entire time. "I'm just going to have a salad," Rori states. "It's not one of my cheat days. Whatever you three do is none of my business, so sorry, I'm not having a side."
You all stare blankly, then turn back to each other.
"Well then," Sienna speaks first.
"Maybe flip a coin?" Glenda suggests. "Heads is curds, tails is fries. You and me split 'em."
"Fair."
Rori pulls out a quarter. "You ready?"

The coin lands heads.
"Cheese curds it is," Rori says. "Good call, coin."
"Not a fan of fries?" you ask.
"Not really. Too many carbs. On my cheat days, there's nothing quite like deep-fried fresh cheese."
"How many cheat days do you get, anyway?" Sienna asks.
"Two a month." Rori is stoic. "Occasionally a third, like on Thanksgiving or Christmas."
"Geez, how can you live like that?"
"I couldn't," Glenda chimes in.
"I definitely couldn't," you add.
Rori adjusts her hat. "I'm used to it by now. But it keeps me thin, which gets me gigs, which gets me money. That's the biz."
"A shame you can't eat naturally and get the same money."
"Meh."
The server comes and you order a jumbo order of curds, which are brought to you just a few minutes later.
Rori immediately grabs two. "I can't help myself, but that's all I get."
After ordering your meals, you try to make small talk. "So Sienna, I don't think you ever told me what you study."
"Literature and psychology. Double major." She doesn't hesitate.
"Any reason you chose those?" you ask.
"Not really. Psych is something you can apply to a lot of things, and literature just interests me, I guess."
"Hey," a voice calls. "Mind if I join you?"
Everyone looks. Everyone's jaws drop.
It's the Rogue from before!
"You look like you wanna talk," Sienna replies.
"May I?" she asks.
You look to the girls. Rori is swirling her straw in her water, not giving a shit. Glenda shrugs. Sienna is glaring skeptically at the Rogue.

Went to Culver's for some today actually!

"Sure," you say. "No promises." You know that offering her to join would get you kicked out.
The Rogue sits down. "First off, I'm Amy. Let's get that out of the way."
"Greg."
"Sienna," she adds, looking on in distrust. You're glad you can see her face.
"Glenda." Glenda also looks dubious.
"I'm Rori." You can't tell what Rori wants, or if she cares.
"Second," Amy continues, "I'm sorry for what happened earlier. I was not thinking clearly. And that's why I wasn't welcome. I get it. I'm sorry."
"You've taken the first step," Sienna says. "Now let's hear your sales pitch."
"I don't have a party. A Rogue needs a party or she's toast," Amy continues. "I need people to keep the heat off of me so I can hide. And that's my side of the coin."
There's a pause.
Rori butts in. "We're going to be killing a cocky dual-class Rogue/Sorcerer and a Fighter who'd lose a game of Connect Four to a light bulb. I have no idea who their lackeys are, if there are any."
"That's not a common combo," Amy replies. "Are you talking about Tiago?"
Rori's mouth moves. "Yes. He's a bigger asshole than my - uh, you know."
Everyone laughs.
"Yeah, that pretty much describes that guy. He got kicked out of my party a year ago because he touched someone inappropriately."
"He did the same to me, and nothing would bring me more joy than killing him. But since I can't do that literally without serving jail time, I'll just make him re-roll again and again and again." Rori is letting loose.
"I'm game to do the same," Amy comments. "I hate that guy. I'd hate him even more if he'd have touched me."
You turn to Sienna. She's still skeptical. Glenda also looks nervous. Rori looks game.

(Buddy system means she has to have someone with her at all times; when hiding as a Rogue, this means someone must be within 30 feet)

"Okay, tell you what," you begin. "We don't know how much we can trust you after what you tried to pull. You can join if you agree to be on the buddy system with us."
Sienna raises an eyebrow. You're not used to seeing that since she usually has her helmet on.
"I'm a Rogue," Amy replies.
"Right. This means you agree to stay within 30 feet of one of us, so if you're hiding, we know where you are," you continue.
"I don't oppose that." Glenda nods.
"Seems like the fairest thing," Sienna adds. "And no taking the quest money. One of us gives you your allotment."
"Fine by me," Rori says.
You turn to Amy. "Well then... welcome to the team."
"Glad to be here." Her eyes don't give you much to go on.

OK, so I have nothing else for this. We're just gonna skip ahead to the next morning...

The five of you meet up at the given place. Sienna is in her full armor. Glenda is in her usual sorceress attire. Amy's in her rogue gear. Rori's got her armor on and overdid her hair this morning, having it in a high bun with chopsticks, curls down either side, and a navy blue baseball hat - one of the ones with a zipper in back, for her bun - down low.
"I thought you didn't want people to notice you," Sienna says to Rori.
Rori nods her head forward a little, obscuring her eyes. "I don't have to look back at them. They usually get the idea."
"So what's the plan?" Amy asks.
"Rori, can you call one of them?" you ask.
"I've blocked them, but I can unblock Tiago and tell him I want to talk to him. Which isn't untrue, seeing as I do want to tell him where he needs to put his hands."
"I don't wanna know," Sienna says with a laugh.
"You probably already do." Rori cracks a smile.
Everyone laughs.
"Or I could text Duane and tell him where to meet me. He's dumb enough to fall for anything."
"The DARGON pit?" Glenda asks.
"Yep, he's gonna be the DARGONs' meal today. Tiago... we'll need to outfox him. He's not going to go into the pit easily."
"So what's the best idea?"
"The DARGONs are probably busy procreating, so they'll need a lot of food," Sienna suggests.
You think of an idea. "We could have them knock on that mad scientist Artificer's door, see if he does something worse to them than he did to us."
"Or we could trap them at the Smoked Fish," Amy suggests. "They wouldn't last."

Okay, sorry about this. Been really tired the last few days and I know my excuses sound like a broken record. I need to get my life straightened out before other things start declining.

That said, tomorrow. I promise.

Rori takes a booth and awaits while you and Glenda hide in the back. Amy dresses up as a hostess - they could've used the help anyway, and she knows the place the best. Sienna goes to help out in the kitchen, with instructions on what to do.
The enemies show up. They are as follows:
-An unkempt-looking guy with a blank stare in his eyes, who you presume to be Duane given his longsword
-A handsome guy with a smug grin on his face, who you think is Tiago, given his knife belt and rod
-A female dressed in light armor; you have no idea what class she is, but she looks tough

"Amy? Fancy seeing you here," Tiago says.
"Do I know you?" Amy asks.
"How could you forget the greatest night of your life?"
"I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Drop it," the girl says. "Didn't you come here to get someone else for the party? It's clear this isn't her."
"Right, sorry." Tiago actually looks a bit embarrassed.
"Did you want menus?" Amy asks.
"Sure?" Duane asks. "What are we eating?"
Amy takes the three stooges over toward Rori's booth.
"Hey, sweet thing," Tiago flirts with Rori. "Nice to see you. Your hair looks rockin'."
"Uh, thanks?" Rori replies.
Tiago takes a seat, flanked by Duane. The girl sits next to Rori.
"You were right," the girl says. "She IS gorgeous."
Rori raises an eyebrow. "Excuse me, but I don't swing both ways."
"Lame."

He takes a moment to digest this. "Now that's the Rori I love!" Jerkface laughs. The girl next to you smirks. Dumbass looks confused.
You, however, try to keep your laughing internal. You know these dunces haven't changed one bit. You also can't show weaknesses.
"You told me she was like that," the girl says. She then turns to Dumbass. "Why are you surprised?"
"Why aren't you?" Dumbass asks.
The girl facepalms.
"Duane proves there's such a thing as a stupid question," you snipe.
The girl guffaws. Jerkface looks angry. Dumbass doesn't get it.
"Huh? How is that a stupid question?" Dumbass asks.
"Because I'd literally just answered it!" the girl says as she laughs.
You smirk.
"Aha!" Jerkface observes. "There's your smile. Always happy to see it."
"I amuse myself," you say.
"But, seriously," the girl starts. "How did you deal with him anyway?"

A. "He was the one we'd send out in front. If he died, oh well."
B. "I guess I've been gifted with patience."
C. "I didn't. I left."

You turn to her. "How does this jerk succeed with women?"
Delilah keeps laughing, then says, "Couldn't tell you. He's not my type." She's almost crying at this point.
You shrug, amused at how Jerkface has made a fool of himself.

Delilah keeps laughing. "Good question! I honestly don't know anymore - he's embarrassing!"
As he sits, Jerkface glares at her and tries to reach across the table, but Delilah glares back at him.
"Why do you think this is impressing me?" you ask Jerkface.
He pauses for a second. "It's not?"
"Because you're failing."
Delilah roars with laughter.
"Hey, Dumbass," you pick on him next. "Why don't you join the fun?"
Dumbass looks at you blankly. He's obviously not following any of this.
"Hey, you," you pick on him some more. "Duane, I know you have a brain in there somewhere."
"Ah, uh, what?" Dumbass looks confused. "Sorry, wasn't paying attention."
"Whatever it is that you're picturing me wearing, cut it out."
"Wearing? Of the centerfold?"
Delilah laughs even harder. "How do you think that's an appropriate thing to say to a woman?"
"Because he's Dumbass," you retort. "And if you think I'm hot now, just you wait until I turn into a balrog and burn this dodo alive."
