Glancing through a summary of the Live Letter, two main things jumped out at me.

Paladin changes (partial list):

Rotations have been shortened to accommodate high-powered actions.
Damage over time effect for Goring Blade and Blade of Valor has been removed and their potency has been adjusted.
Divine Might is now applied after weaponskill combos, allowing an enhanced Holy Spirit to be executed once without casting.
Holy Sheltrons effect has been changed to reduce damage taken, thereby enhancing defensive capabilities against damage over time.
The previously removed Bulwark ability has been revamped and reintroduced, offering increased defensive capability.
The utility of several other actions and combos have also been adjusted.

Retainer buff:

Retainers get a very handy new stack system that allows you to quickly transfer all items from your inventory that can stack onto matching items held by your retainer. Yoshida notes that you can untick certain items before making the transfer, allowing you to hold onto anything you wish and quickly deposit all the remaining items. He jokes, it only took us ten years to add this feature.

1/10, gives me a week and a half to do all the stuff in 6.2.x and 6.3.0 before Fire Emblem comes out.

I've been avoiding keeping track of 6.2x to resist the urge to resub, so I have no idea how feasible that is, lol.

Although I guess I can resub and do all the 6.2x content whenever.

Yep! Could probably do it as early as Lv. 80, though I've done it on my DRK for the Anima relic weapon and it's only around 75

believe the question was around duty supports and not around desynced soloing but i could be wrong

If you've done the 6.2 MSQ then you should be all caught up and ready to do new stuff on Tuesday. Make sure you've done all the quests from the 6.1 alliance raid as well. None of the other new stuff is gated behind anything recent.

The fastest way to get your ilvl up is going to be obtaining a set of crafted gear (either buy it off the MB or have a friend make it for you), then upgrade it on Tuesday. That'll get you to 620, which is more than enough to do the new content.

Oh, when I meant 6.2x stuff I didn't mean requirements, but like, Hildebrand and stuff like that.

Will look into the crafter gear, though! I may already have some if I can upgrade it.

Just skimming the patch notes for a checklist of everything from 6.2 to now...

• Tales of Newfound Adventure quests
• Somehow Further Hildibrand quests and Manderville weapons
• Island Sanctuary

I think those are all the notable things. Not sure what you value, so I made sure to cover everything that might pique your interest or may be good to know.

If you did 6.1 Aliance Raid and 6.2 msq, you're good for 6.3.

None of 6.25 matters until 6.35

Got back in and it's amazing how fast it all falls back into place after 4 months away. Muscle memory for all my hotkeys both on the combat front and traversal front still fully activated.

Even the dumpling eating animations for that scene and her reaction are just like....what game am I playing?

Makes me want them to just do a full on sequel in a new engine so bad.

And it's good to be reminded after coming back that XIV is efforletsly the best story in this franchise, and all it takes is 2 people talking in a subway about food and compassion.

I already run the Aglaia by default but the dyeable cool blue needs to get in my glamour dresser and go on my Dancer. Unfortunately, it's my BiS at the moment until I shell out effort into crafting or git gud and join a Savage group that accepts fulltimers for members.

Also running BLM in new content is a huge mistake.

Finally got the mount for the latest beast tribe. "Mostly Heartless" was a pretty great name for the rank 7 quest!

Not sure if this is what you're saying, but you can use a piece of gear as glamour and have it equipped. You just put it in the glamour dresser, assign it to a plate, save the plate, then take the gear back out. Now you can equip it and the plate still works.

Valentoine glamour killing it, as always.

They're some nice looking sets, but surely they must know by now that people are going to complain about the genderlocking. I guess the hope is that somewhere down the line they become unisex and we end up with two sets of glamour from this event that can be used without Fantasia'ing rather than just one that was unisex from the beginning.

The Ultimate raid series is the most difficult battle content within FFXIV, and we release this content after testing that it can be cleared without the use of any third-party tools. However, if the presumption is that this content will be tackled and cleared with the use of third-party tools, then any reason to develop high-difficulty battle content seems to be lost. Its very difficult for me to understand as a gamer what the meaning behind using numerous third-party tools to compete to clear first would be.

All of that is available for Duty Support.

It's not available for me for some reason? Sorry to treat this topic like tech support. It doesn't show up in my duty support menu. do I have to have purchased the endwalker expansion?

I haven't looked myself but for some reason I was under the impression that duty support was MSQ duties only. Could easily be wrong.
