I remember when I made "pizza is too expensive" topics exactly 7+ years ago...

I have been enjoying the Dominos Pizza 50% off Mondays since then... but that coupon has been retired.

Now all pizza is too expensive again :<

Pizza Hut has large pizzas for $17 which isn't too bad. They miraculously haven't upped the price in years. That's usually my go-to place.

...

the freis were really tasty but I got super bloated and had to lay down, I only now recovered

I dont like that I'm so old that I'm defeated by food

They're not just one topping pizzas. Also, that's $17 Canadian.

Get a pappa murphy's pizza. They have a NY special which is $10 and extra large. If it's just for you that is 2-3 meals (you can cut it in half and cook them seperate so both are fresh.

It comes with cheese/pepporoni and or sausage. I usually just do the pepporoni.

I then add my own mushrooms/bell peppers/onions/olives/salami on top.

By using your own ingrediants you save a freakton. 1 mushroom cut up is good for half the pizza at a time. A few olives (like 1/10th of a can), and I always have cut up onions/bell peppers for cooking at home.

Makes a very delicious and fresh pizza. I add extra whole milk mozzerella on top.

Since it's extra large, if you cut it in half it's like having 2 medium pizzas and you can make them a few days apart. It comes with the thin crust, which means you don't have to worry about using it within 48 hours (the dough isn't rising etc, it's thin).

My go to for pizza that isn't from a really good place for awhile. I only have 3 pieces a meal, so basically I cook half, and have half of that, then use my air fryer to heat up the other half within 2 days. I then cook the other half within a week and it's still good.

I do that about once a month. Since it's thin crust it's not really bad for my diabetes (it's really not that much bread/carbs), it's tasty, and a 4 meals for $10....it's freaking cheap af.

Pizza is still pretty cheap, the only issue is you have to get the family deals. Plenty of 2 Large & breadsticks deals around here for about $20-25. That's enough food for several days.

Used to be you could get a single large for about $5-7, though. Most places I see right now are around $10-12 for a large 1 topping. The family deals usually include a specialty pizza.

You must live in cali or something. Pizza Hut was doing $10 pizzas until the last couple years, now it's like $14. I wouldn't pay 17 for a pizza wtf.

^this so much...but I think it's just in certain markets. Like here in the NJ/NYC area, you might get a Large Special for like 12-13 Bucks, while in FL they (I think) still have the $9.99 carryout deal.

But here in NYC we have $1 Pizza slice joints so I will miss that during my Winter vacay

Dominos still has the $7.99 One Topping Carryout here (but you don't earn any points unless you spend $10)

Papa John's has the $9.99 Large One Topping Carryout (used to be $8.99, but still earn points regardless on what you spend) so that's my goto as of now

Domino's used to charge $6 for a medium, 2-topping pizza, but they've increased it to $7 for some time...

That's definitely less expansive than takeaway places. I'm alright with cheap frozen pizzas if I want a quick fix but even the freshly made ones are less expansive.

2 medium two-topping pizzas from Dominos is 7 bucks each. I split the order with someone and usually will only eat half of one. They don't have that deal where you're at?

They don't currently have that coupon, the one I was enjoying was 50% off which woulda been... less than that, actually, so that's a good coupon.

The closest is 3 mediums for $29.99...

I was gunna plug it in and see the price, but the site won't let me... I PRESUME cuz they're closed at 1AM

Sadly, my favorite pizza place near me went the route of keeping the prices the same but giving you less. Which I hate that. I much rather pay more and get what I am used to than pay the same and get less.

Aldi has extra large 16 inch take-and-bake pizzas for $6-8 depending on the toppings. They're really good.
