For me its Heineken and Southern Comfort.
one gives the shits and the other makes me nauseous just by the smell of it.

As an alcoholic though, my life improved greatly when i quit.

Just stay away from cheap beer, malt liquor and beer with high percentage alcohol in them and you should be good to go.

Fireball after I overdid it a few years ago and woke up with the worse headache in my entire life. Too much sugar in that stuff.

I never been drunk and like cognac and whisky for the taste. That being said, stay away from most 40% percent whisky as those are normally for profit distilleries and don't care too much about great flavor.

All of them.

Whiskey and shochu both make me frown.

There is no such thing as a "good" or "ideal" amount of alcohol. Any level of drinking alcohol will have a negative impact on your health.

I'm glad others are getting the picture on how bad alcohol is for you.
It's so weird what drugs are legal and what aren't.

I've found that people who don't drink are usually greedy.

It's not the type of alcohol, it's the volume

Exactly.

They all fucking suck for me, triggers my depression.

There was a point in my life where I was just a functional alcholic, made me happier when I was drunk, more motivated when I was hungover, but ever since that one bad trip all drugs just take me back to that dark place.

I think then it is fine for you to stay away from it and I wouldn't force anyone who was to drink (quite the opposite, I probably wouldn't drink around them). That said, you have to understand that some people don't have an issue with it and have the ability to drink responsibly.

For me, it is anything cheap. I go through at most a bottle of whiskey a year, no way am I going to have my only whiskey for the year be a $15 bottle of Jack Daniels.
