It's still a little generic in responses and based on a convo I had with it, has some strange logical decisions.

It feels like I'm talking to a Business 101 student when I ask it questions that require feedback/suggestions. It gives answers that are of course correct... but only because they are too generic that anyone could come up with the same thing.

Still cool, though.

Not necessarily. It's a fucking great resource, but it's a resource. If you're giving it a hyperspecific task, you still need to know what you're talking about so you can proofread what the chatbot says. It will be very confidently wrong about something as well.

Large language models will probably never replace a search engine unless someone figures out a way to produce sourcing for each response. Like, where did the information come from? Without that, unless you already know the answer, it's impossible to make judgements about whether it simply made shit up.
