Like, sure, video games changed. Legend of Zelda isn't anything like it used to be. Final Fantasy is not even turn based anymore. Assassin's Creed is not Prince of Persia and now it's not even close to what Assassin's Creed used to be. Even Pokemon changed and is now open world. But, even if they changed, they are still great games. And even if not them, then there are plenty of other great games in the world. But if you are still too much narrow minded, and only want games that are exactly like your childhood because for some reason your brain stopped growing or I dunno - What's the problem with some indies? Want a oldschool Harvest Moon experience? play Stardew Valley Want 2D Zelda? play Tunic Want oldschool Pokemon? play one of the million of fanhacks Want oldschool Final Fantasy? plenty of RPGs to choose from. There hasn't really been an oldschool FF-like that approximates a FFVI - FFIX like experience (in terms of graphics, world map, story, characters, music, etc). The Bravely games are the closest but their stories are all god awful. Octopath doesn't have a world map.
