They tried it once, and that movie bombed because it was bad. Ulti, you don't know about Excalibur, X-Factor and X-Force. Or hell, Exiles, even. There are some phenomenal stories to mine that could benefit from a single marquee star and a decent director.

I think the only one that counts is New Mutants, and the issue with that wasn't the characters, it was the 5 years of development hell it got caught in

First Class had a cast that, aside from Xavier/Magneto/Mystique was all lesser known characters and it was one of the best received movies in the franchise

speaking of which, just give me a Darwin movie because he got done so dirty and I'm still not over it

GotG3 beated, nice to have a great movie again! A real palette cleanser after Quantumania, couldn't help comparing High Evolutionary favourably to Kang when he's got his tech suit force pushing people the same except this time with some presence throughout the movie, lots of it flashbacks for Rocket like Quantumania did for Kang & Janet but ohhhh so much more engaginggg.

I think it's gotta be my favourite Guardians.

but also I think MCU Maria Hill is probably the biggest waste of potential. been in a ton of films and never got a single moment to shine. shame

i think the Skrull insurgence is a relatively recent development, so they probably werent body snatching anyone when BP takes place. I assume Ross was a human in all of his appearances until now.

as for overall episode impressions I was pretty bored for most of it, though finally started getting into later half y'know as Nick Fury starts getting into the picture... and then the spoiler happened and ouch.

could get better but for now I mean I can see why the early reviews aren't happy if they just got this and whatever's next week
