Do you still do it POTD?

Before the pandemic I used to do a thing called Elf Louise here in San Antonio. Not sure if its something done else where. But its where you and a couple of friends dress up as Santa and his helpers and deliver donated toys to less fortunate families. Theres an agency that sets it all up.

I used to volunteer at a food shelf 2 days a week while I was working part time. Had to stop when I got my current job, but it was a great experience. Probably something I'll look into doing again when I no longer have to work and something I would recommend to anyone with an abundance of free time.

Speaking of Volunteer work, I once looked up what it takes to volunteer at the zoo. And it seems they only want teenagers or something because, at least when I looked it up, they required a 4 or 6(can't remember which" long training course. Like to know how they expect some one to be able to do that outside of a teenager on summer vacation.

A lot of volunteer work is aimed at retirees. It's a way for them to participate in society and a reason to keep to a schedule after they exit the workforce.
