Weird... They went to find the real Xev and did it in the first two minutes of the ep. She was hanging on an I-beam underneath Prince's city/tower for some reason. Whatever works! Anyway, Lyekka's back for an episode, so that's.....................always good.

Kai rescued some gay guys who were the planet's balloon-making slaves, but just when it seemed like they were going to make it to Water's fertile garden town, Lexx floated by and ate (???) them. Kind of a downer ending. At least Gigarotta's reincarnated form got torched in the jacuzzi from hell.

So the cliffhanger of "Kai and Stanley are falling toward Water through the upper atmosphere" became a li'l fun splash? I mean, Kai sank like a rock, but Stanley should've gotten messed up a little, you'd think. Enough of those balloonists were thrown out and they made it seem like it was a hellish freefall o' death.

Hmm, Kai seems to have gotten reincarnated by sinking to the water planet's center, while Stanley spent the entire episode drowning and doing a heaven-or-hell scenario in the planets' weird afterlife. If this is what all the souls do, I wonder how that douchebag guy Fifi got reincarnated on the good planet when he was clearly a betraying bastard.

Okay, finished season three. Stanley's soul was stuck in a neverending cycle of torment and Cap'n Xev blew up the planet. However, it released all the evil souls and Prince brainjacked the Lexx to destroy Water, which released the good souls. Stanley came back to life somehow (?????) and Kai was okay and just floating afterward. At the end, it seems like the planet on the other side of the sun is actually our li'l blue marble, the next destination for all the souls + Prince.

Overall, not too bad a season. Prince is definitely a standout and it seems he'll be showing up yet again next season. I wish we'd had more of him, honestly, instead of Mantrid and the Divine Shadow stuff, but I guess not everyone is destined to be a Scorpius-tier villain.

Welp, started the new season. Stanley talked with the POTUS and got sent a bunch of psycho assassins to deal with, though Kai took care of 'em. Lexx ate part of the Amazon rainforest and ate a nuke, which he racked up to eating something "spicy" -- a funny throwaway joke. Xev and Kai are going down to the planet to explore now. I swear, if another moth gets stolen and Lexx boarded by goofballs again, so help me St. Ajora...

My expectations for season 4 dropped when they revealed they were heading to Earth. Whenever sci-fi does this, I automatically think "Execs must have gutted the budget, and they are looking to cut costs."

Prince was the best part of S3, I will give it that much.

The SFX haven't taken a hit or anything -- if anything, they've only improved since S3. It could be a cost-saving method, I guess, but it's too early to pass judgment for me.

Goddamn, they had that gunman kid fall eight stories to his death...on screen! That raises more eyebrows than any weird sexual scenes, lmao. To be fair, that kid was a total douche who was going to steal a moth and leave on the Lexx, so I can't be too sad.

The president said he'd make Stanley the king of Newfoundland.

One thing struck me as odd with Lexx (the ship as well as the series overall), it's planet destroying attack went from a horizontal beam of energy generated by the "eyes" at the front of the ship, but was latter changed to a circle, but in the last ep, it goes back to a beam. Was there ever a reason given for that?

I'm not sure why they changed the planet-cutter beam to a "cheerio" either. Maybe just one of those things Stanley learned about off screen? He also learned he could seal the bridge (some kind of membrane over the doors) in the previous ep, so I guess that old dirty dog can learn some new tricks.

I'm only up to S4E5, though, so I'll keep an eye out.

Overall, this is one of the episodes that probably aged the worst, although the then-new Survivor series probably made sense to parody. The "interviews" where all the male candidates were swearing at Stanley and saying he should die was great, though. Too bad he kept getting immunity, suckaz.

Forgot about that Survivor ep. Reminded me a little of that ep way back when they were forced to host their own shows.

That earlier TV show ep had the funniest moment in the show so far, as far as I'm concerned. The vibes I'm getting from S4 are that nothing is going to compare to Stanley kicking that robot kid's head off. Being on Earth kinda makes the show too grounded instead of weird and zany.
