I'm torn

On one hand, KD is the best player the Suns have had... ever? But he's getting older and has been injury prone (hell he's injured right now) and I hate to see Mikal and Cam go, not to mention all the picks. If it brings a title it was worth it for sure, but we'll see. Really really hate to lose Bridges though

fully agree with this. CP37 and KD35 are ancient. they could get hurt or just fall off a cliff at any moment. while they seem to have more left in the tank, they're at the age that paul pierce and kevin garnett were at when they were traded to the nets...

Yeah, but one first rounder doesn't seem like much when they're giving up Beasley, Conley, and Vanderbilt and also taking on the Westbrook contract.

I know the idea of Vanderbilt is kind of better than his actual production and maybe they can somehow convince some desperate team that Westbrook is actually a positive value now that the West is so stacked and end up getting something else for him in the next few hours, but right now it doesn't look like Ainge's best work.

With Bobby Portis out for the next few weeks, its easy to see Crowder fill his shoes in the short term. Once everyone is healthy, it'll allow more versatility to our big rotations. I like the move. Crowder hasn't played for a while though, hopefully it's a smooth transition, because I know he's got the talent. Him having roots to Marquette will hopefully help with the transition.

I'm honestly not that thrilled to see KD join the Suns. He's another older player on the verge of retirement on a team leaning too hard on older players. I'm not sure if this was intentional or not, but when Sorozone mentioned Suns vs Bucks I'm pretty sure that would be the two oldest teams in the NBA.

Hampton was kind of baffling for the Magic. He was buried on the depth chart and could never get minutes but when he did get minutes he actually performed well. The baffling part came when he then wouldn't get minutes even when we were heavily injured and was overtaken by our two way guard.

At the time people speculated there had to be something happening we didn't know about but we never found out shit so not sure if there was something or he just genuinely fell out of favor. It was a bizarre situation but could have just been because we denied his option so we were really restricted in what we could offer him in the offseason (every other team was allowed to offer him more than we could because of weird CBA rules)
