Honestly that seems pretty ideal? You want to be able to know how to plan around teams for playoff time and getting multiple games in the same time gives you practice on how to scheme

Yeah, this has become more of a thing in recent years, although it feels like they've ramped it up this year.

I'm not Jewish so I can't say whether the K word or what Kyrie did is worse but the few Jewish people who have spoken up about it in Magic group chats said what Kyrie did was significantly worse in their eyes.

The Primo stuff is also wild. Initially I thought the Spurs had been one of the good franchises and dealt with it swiftly and unlike most franchises. It seems they are just as bad as everyone else though and only did something once it became apparent that it was going to become public knowledge. Absolutely crazy that she reported him multiple times and they basically did nothing except punish and eventually fire her for it. She's going to get paid and rightfully so.

It's just super weird behavior by Primo too. Especially crazy that he's doubling down and basically saying it didn't happen and if it did it wasn't deliberate and nobody ever told him. That's so hard to believe.

Just the same as guys sending unsolicited dick pics (like seriously why?), I'll never understand what drives a person to do what Primo did.

And it's not even like Primo has been a great player to "justify" covering up what he did.

It really feels like nowadays they kind of test the waters to see how the public / media react and see if they can get away with doing nothing. I've read their statement so I understand why they waited and I'm glad they did the right thing but really feels like they should have suspended him immediately whilst they reviewed everything and decided ultimate punishment

I feel like what's going to happen is that the Nets are going to cut Kyrie in the coming weeks and then he'll get picked up by the Lakers as he makes an apology.

On the contrary I think the onus is on the teams before it is the NBA

Silver said he plans to meet with Kyrie soon, so there may be additional punishment depending on how that goes.

It took the Nets suspending him, but an actual apology was finally issued.

I still think that this is the beginning of the end of his career though.

All it took was for him facing actual consequences

Although I half figured he'd enjoy not having to play games for a while

it was without pay. which means that this was like a 2.5 million dollar fine.

I doubt Kyrie is resigning there so if they can find anyone to actually give up anything for him they should

The problem is that the most likely trade partner (the Lakers) might be turned off by all this because Lebron isn't going to want to be associated with this.
