I'm actually lucky that I've never had a serious injury from drinking. I've fallen down so many times. I've even fallen off my bike a few times trying to ride home from a friend's place. But I've always walked away with just scrapes and bruises.

my closest calls were

jumping down a short flight of stairs (like 3/4 of a normal flight of stairs roughly) and landed with one foot completely sideways. Like, I felt the ankle bone hit the floor. Pain shot up my whole leg and I saw a bright white flash for a split second. Nothing. Completely fine. Could still put full weight on it. Slight soreness and swelling the next day but not even enough to cause a limp

jumped out of my buddy's jeep when he pulled up in my parking lot like 30 feet early. I just went to jump out because he had mostly stopped, but as I was doing so, he hit the gas to pull up closer to my door which I didn't expect. I was already mid jump so I would guess he was going maybe 15 mph so not fast but I was off balance and startled. I remember seeing the pavement below me and time slowed down. I thought "don't try to land. Just immediately tumble forward, take the forward momentum and hope for the best." I did exactly that, forward rolled over my shoulder. Ended up on hands and knees. Only scraped hands slightly, banged one knee and scraped it up good, but enough to rip pants. Had some minor bruising and the scrapes took a while to heal, but otherwise it was fine. I assume it was my right knee.

Shut my thumb in a car door (as in door was fully shut and thumb was stuck in it. It was on the top side of it though so the rubbery part just kinda compressed around it. Scared the shit outta me but nothing else beyond that.

My worst injuries were all fluke sober ones somehow.

I once did a perfect front flip after letting go of my bike while trying to clear a gap sober me would have known I'd never clear. Ended up landing on my ass skidding across the asphalt and having my bike hit me in the back as I slid.

Had wicked ass road rash and a a decent bruise from where the bike hit me, but it was amazing I didn't die. Also had the stem snap in half dropping a stair set once and somehow I managed to jump off the bike and run out... but I was going so fast I ran straight into a brick pillar and had a giant lump on my forehead and a bloody nose

That's road rash on my ass to be clear. Also ruined those shorts.

As a teenager, my father was showing off for some girls riding his bike at full speed without a helmet and he popped a wheelie and the front wheel came off >_>

He road-rashed the fuck out of his chin and face but if I recall the story correctly didn't have any long term injuries. Not even drunk, just... he would do that kinda shit. Also totaled his first car within hours of getting it while racing someone on dangerous country backroads (they're all windy, sharp and have frequent changes in elevation in rural CT)

Gonna spend the night at the girls today. Guess her friends all told her during her bday that she was being fucking ridiculous for being mad at me. Her friends always seem to take my side... maybe cause I'm usually right when it comes to her being pissed at me over absurd shit.

If I don't post again assume I either got murdered or murdered her ex. Lol.
