One of the best game series ever

Bioshock 1 is easily my favorite, one of my favorite games ever. Some of the most perfect game mechanics and atmosphere of any game Ive ever played!

but I get the feeling that Infinite is more loved, for one reason or another. Time to figure this out once and for all

i beat Bioshock 1 a few years ago after starting it like 5 times since release. Great game. Jumped straight to Infinite and dropped it within 2-3 hours.

Infinite is a very different game from the original. But its supposed to be different. It focuses more on story and less on the same game mechanics of the first game. Its supposed to feel more arcade-y.

but it does have Elizabeth :)

3 is the best game, but... now this might sound weird, but 1 and 2 cannot exist without each other, they play directly off each other

The first had a great idea. The sequel was a little... why? And then the third should've just been called something else.

Everything thing is honky dory til some clerk stabs your hand.

Infinite 1999 Mode

I thought Bioshock>Infinite; I just loved late-game melee in the original game.

Never played 2.

1st has the best story, 3rd has the best gameplay. Overall, I give it to 3.

Honestly I might prefer 2 to 1.

The gameplay in 2 makes it my favorite.

Just a shade better than the first game , if not for the momentum killing escort mission at the end , I'd probably make it a tie.

I played Infinite first of the three, and was bored after 3 hours. I put it aside for 4 years , not realizing the original was also on the disc.

I had to force myself to finish and plat Infinite , and haven't touched it since.

But , I constantly replay the first two, trying different variations of gameplay each time.

No bad games in the series, and my favorite can fluctuate depending on my mood, so Im going to abstain from voting.

I enjoyed it. I thought it was a fun way to tie the original BioShock and Infinite together.

the first bioshock was one of the best games of all time. this is a silly question.

I find it crazy how hard 2 was hated on when it came out but Infinite came out and made it look like one of the best games ever by comparison.

Seriously though, Infinite is fucking abysmal as both a game and story.

I've only played 1 and Infinite, but I had a more enjoyable time with Infinite, even though its story (especially the ending) was whack.
