Way, way back when I created a hack for Final Fantasy VI that, although I've since moved on to my own community, still had its roots here on this site. I've since moved on to a little game called Heroes 3, and as of today have released a finalized version that realizes every goal I've set forth to accomplish with it. If any of you have played Brave New World, you should have a pretty good idea of what to expect. If you haven't, Heroes 3 is still one of the greatest strategy games of all time and definitely worth a play if you have never done so.

Also have you played Heroes Hour or Songs of Conquest. Very HoM&M-esque

I've heard of it, but haven't been doing much at all lately aside from working on AH3M.

I've been a big fan of HoM3 for a long time and nice mod but what exactly is the point when Horn of the Abyss is already a thing?

Also Songs of Conquest is a spiritual successor to HoM3 and it looks absolutely stunning.

I haven't played this, but for anyone on the fence about it I can give testimony to the quality of BTB's work as I've played a lot of his FF 6 "Brave New World" mod. Dude puts a lot of time and energy into his work and legit changed FF6 for the better. He continues to tweak things and listens to fan feedback.

If this mod is anything like his previous work it'll be chef's kiss as the kids say

I played halfway through HoMM5, but mostly I like Might & Magic not Heroes of Might & Magic.

I respect the work that HotA does and think what they do is of very high quality, but I disagree with the direction. I think Cove was an unnecessary addition; my mods are always about working with what is already there rather than adding new things. I also dislike the HotA crew on a professional level, as well - they do not play nicely with the modding community as a whole.

In any case, my mod does a whole lot of things differently from HotA. There's way too much to list here and I honestly couldn't tell you what since I'm not very familiar with what all HotA does. The screenshots in the link I posted should give you a pretty good idea of what all is in store, though.

Oh, just getting older and going gray. Shattered my wrist last year when Texas froze over and I slipped on some ice and I lost a beloved pet to cancer about six months later. But work has been stable, pay has been fine, and I've had plenty of free time to work on what I enjoy doing. Even managed to really learn how to program while working on AH3M, which is something I never did for Brave New World.

Yeah, it was Eddie, my Japanese bobtail that I'd had for 16 years, so he definitely lived a long and fulfilling life.

hello btb do you still work on brave new world or is it all done now

I'm considering Brave New World finished. It's still a massive community project that is still being worked on and I'm not dismissing possibly working on it more in the future, but I'm done with it for a good long while at least.

Anyway, a lot of my players are people who have never played the original game before. Heroes never really caught on here in the west like it did in the east, so I'm mostly just poaching Brave New World players who are willing to take me at my word that HoMM3 is an amazing game worth playing.
