Whether it's Karen patients, Tritter or Vogler.

Yes it's realistic that people would oppose House's bullshit and be a thorn in his side but that's kind of the problem. Once you bring realism into it, House would be fired instantly without hesitation.

So instead you get plots that still suspend disbelief but are just boring or annoying.

The best episodes are just the ones that embrace that the show makes no sense and just have fun reveals/interesting medical conditions

I was annoyed by the vindictive cop that was also going after House's team (might've been Tritter).
Also patients trying to be snarky and philosophical with House aren't convincing and every kid/teen is a brat.

No but I remember the one where the patient turns out to have unknowningly married her brother.

And Foreman begged them not to break up and to keep fucking.

I guess he was into that

The "plot" elements of Tritter and Vogler's arcs were annoying, but they resulted in a lot of my favorite character moments for House and Wilson.

Tritter arc's big weakness imo was that the show had pretty much exhausted everything it could do with the original team in their positions by that point, so a lot of that side of the drama felt forced. pushing them to background roles while bringing in fresh blood was one of the best decisions they ever made.

If you say so

I'd say the show really suffered without the original Trio doing their thing and the "apprentice" style season didn't work at all.

Amber and small bald guy didn't really cut it. Foreman also never worked as a foil for House. There was just no real chemistry there. He always felt like House's lackey even the show was telling you he wasn't.

I liked Kutner tho.

Vogler was the fault of executive meddling by the network. If they didn't add a villain they wouldn't order the back 9 of season 1.

Oh yeah, definitely. It would also be insane if a guy who is as much an asshole as House didn't alienate his underlings into leaving.

Plus, they used it set up the absolute fucking gut punch of the Season 4 finale.

The show needed the original team to have space to breathe away from House's nonsense, and all of them developed into better characters for it by the time they returned.

There were a few standout epsiodes early on but even by season 2 its like...Foreman plagiarizes Cameron? They were struggling on what to do with these people lol.

Amber lead to one of the absolute peak stretches of House and Wilson's relationship.

If you say so

Cameron had no arc at all and Foreman's "I want to be you but better" didn't work or go anywhere.

Chase was okay but the show still suffered without the three of them bouncing off House.
