Its honestly not as bad as I remember it. I first watched it as a 7 year old and loved it, then thought it was garbage in my teens. Now Im enjoying it, though maybe thats just nostalgia kicking in from when I loved it as a child.

It's not good but to me it's infinitely more watchable than AotC.

The first part of a trilogy is never THAT bad. Because youre always thinking, well, they can fix that later on. Its when the second and third movies double down on the stupid that shit becomes unbearable.

Its pretty dark and less cringe compared to the first 2 movies and the final duel is tops in the series.

It's mostly fine imo. We really didn't need to see preteen Anakin but I did enjoy how he was sort of a catalyst for showing how up their own ass and destined for failure the Jedi were.

In general my favorite thing about the prequels is how much of the galaxy we get to see. As weak as the dialogue and acting can be, it's a hella fun ride. And there are enough high points to look past the lows, even if those high points are almost entirely Neeson, McGregor, and McDiarmid. >_>

This is the biggest strength of the PT (and TCW which only expands that) and imo the biggest weakeness of the ST (which I like a lot more than the PT overall)

Final duel was great but I actually think the rematch in the Kenobi finale was better

Anakin turning was kinda rushed though

I find it unusually bad. Like, the clashing between the big budget sets and costumes and the blatantly amateurish script and cinematography seems impossible to exist together.

I think Im enjoying it more because of all the actual sets and practical effects that were still being used before they went full blown CG in the next two

I just want to mention Jake Lloyd did a good job as a child actor and how the SW community treated him as a whole is why Im no longer a SW fan. I feel bad for him every time I think of this film :(
