On their own, there isn't much to them, but I mostly use them in baking, and they're very useful there.

They are fine, not a lot of flavor to them. Usually if you are using them for egg dishes you need to add some spices to make up for the flavor that the yolkes add.

I don't go out of my way to eat them but if a dish is made with only egg whites I am not going to turn it down.

Way less calories and pretty much exact amount of protein you would get from a whole egg. I love egg whites.

Yes; its my favorite part of the egg, I just love its delicate eggy flavor.

When I order omelettes Ill always ask if they do an egg-white variant.

Love em. As someone who tries to make Gainz they offer ton of protein with very little calories.

I switch between egg whites and regular eggs. Usually do eggs, toast, broccoli, and a fruit for breakfast. Helps gives me a foundation so if later in the day i drink or eat fast food at least i got a good base

Unusually just do the regular eggs But theyve been running out of everything in base They even ran out of sausage links

It seems people like them because of the protein without the calories

This is not true at all.

100 grams of whole eggs yields about 13 grams of protein.
100 grams of egg whites yields about 11 grams of protein.

Hardly a significant difference.

100g of egg whites have 11g of protein, compared to 13g in 100g of whole egg. It's a loss, but a fairly small one.

15% less is pretty significant. Just not significant enough to rule it out.

Egg whites always remind me of my econ 101 teacher back in college.

Professor: "There is no substitute goods for eggs."
My idiot roommate: "Well, what about egg whites?"
Professor: "Ok, there is no substitute goods for DeNiro."
Class confused: "DeNiro?"
Professor: "Yes, Robert DeNiro, greatest actor of our times!"

It is important to understand this professor, who was a favorite of mine, had a thick accent and pronounced goods as "goose" only adding my amusement.

Its 15% when comparing one value to the other. However, the average protein intake for most people should be between 50-100 grams. This means that in terms of daily value it represents 2-4%. 2-4% is often the error margin in polling because at that point the data is considered insignificant.

It's still significant enough that you shouldn't assume your protein needs are met if you just substitute an egg white for every whole egg you'd otherwise eat, especially where the white makes up around 3/5-2/3 of the egg's mass. Just take out the yolks with no other adjustments, and you've dropped the protein content of the eggs in the dish by ~40%.

Of course, you generally aren't going to make substitutes that blindly, so saying that that's something that needs to be considered is very much stating the obvious.

They serve different purposes. Sometimes you want whole eggs, sometimes just whites, sometimes just yolks, sometimes whites and yolks beaten separately then mixed back in together... Eggs are tremendously versatile in baking.

How many eggs do you assume he eats everyday? If its two egg whites a day, a large egg is approximately 56 grams meaning 112 grams. You lose approximately 4.5 grams of protein. Thats less than is found in a part-skim milk string cheese stick which virtually nobody considers to be a significant source of protein. Again, in terms of daily value, we are talking a 2-4% difference. If for the next month, you decreased your daily protein intake by 4% with no other dietary changes, your body would not notice a difference unless you are on a strict diet already or in a heavily physically active industry.
