No, those absolutely are very different things.
There is no lie on my part though. He asked about it. He's a dumb fuck.

SKARDAVNELNATE posted...
@Collat He didn't have a source on that. Do you think I agreed with him too easily?
Because it doesn't exist. Biden and Harris know it was never "Trump's vaccine."

I thought this was about Tom Cruise and you just misspelled his last name.

Clever job getting me into a Ted Cruz topic! heh
I mean Tom Cruise is a Scientologist so he's probably against vaccines.

So if I were to ask you if it's possible someone might kick a puppy, in your mind I would be telling you to kick a puppy? On the off chance that is the case I want to be clear that I really don't want you to do that.

Neither adjl nor I called it Trump's vaccine.

That's even less stupid than what Trump asked.

You said he was responsible for it, and because of that, liberals were against taking it. Both false.

No, I think having to clarify if asking about a think is the same as telling someone to do it is far more stupid than what Trump asked about.

What I said was "It was developed during the Trump administration". That's different from saying he was responsible for it.

your supposition would have to be rephrased to "So if I were to ask you if it's possible that kicking a puppy would help the situation" in order to fit as an analogy here

and in which case yes that would make you implicitly suggest it because you brought it up out of nowhere and it's a horrible idea by default that no reasonable person would expect to improve anything

Okay... Let's consider that. Given that information was tightly controlled in order to manipulate voters and get the election results they wanted, that means... what?

That not every nonsense conspiracy theory is granted the same media exposure time as actual news. This is inevitable; air time is finite and people are already bombarded by more information than they can possibly process. Some curation is necessary.

Also, "tightly controlled" is a gross overstatement. If it were actually tightly controlled, you wouldn't have heard about it because you aren't exactly digging hard.

SKARDAVNELNATE posted...
That's not what I stated though. I conceded earlier that I wasn't referring to all democrats, just the ones that are prominent figures in politics.

Most prominent ones also don't support the autonomous zones. They just don't see the autonomous zones as reason to withdraw support from the movement as a whole, given that they are non-representative of the broader movement.

SKARDAVNELNATE posted...
I had some trouble following how you reached either conclusion. Then I remembered about your difficulties with abstract thinking and realized you're just confused.
Maybe some clues will help.
If I agree with what you said, and someone who did what you described had succeeded at it, who would be in power as a result?

Had the coup succeeded, Trump would be in power. The coup did not succeed. Participating in a failed coup is no less treasonous than participating in a successful one.

Either you mistakenly believe that I think the coup succeeded (I don't) or you mistakenly believe that Biden being president indicates that a coup succeeded (which is baseless, conspiratorial nonsense). Which mistake are you making?

That wouldn't fit the analogy though. Trump was being briefed on measures that could help the situation. He didn't just ask the question out of nowhere. He was responding to something that was said to him regarding the thing he asked about.

Do you actually believe that? After the media reported that the laptop story had been debunked. After the media went on at length about Russian collusion. They suppress the real news in order to spread their nonsense conspiracy theories.

adjl posted...

In that case name them. If they are so prominent it should be easy to recognize who they are. I expect the ones that have expressed support are more well known.

Really? Regardless of who was behind it they would have realized what a great president Trump had been and conceded authority to him?

The rule changes regarding mail in voting were in dispute. Court cases regarding the election results were thrown out, not on merit but for other reasons, leaving those matters unresolved. At least in Pennsylvania the mail in voting was found to be unconstitutional. These leave the unaddressed potential that a sitting president was removed through illegal or unconstitutional means. If that potential were to turn out to be what actually happened what would you call it?

I'm implying democrats switched their position when it suited them and not because they ever believed what they were saying. If you knew that then you should also realize it does mean something.

conservatives lie every day for decades just making this country worse and worse trampling all over peoples rights just to further their own corruption and greed showing no regard for human life or well being

some democrats were wrong in January-February 2020 though before we knew much about the virus

so both sides

You are completely dethatched from reality if you believe any of that.

If you want to ignore the fact that Operation Warp Speed existed, that's your prerogative. There were definitely statements of "If Trump says it's safe, don't take it" - and not just from random internet posters, but politicians as well.

Before the 2020 election, most on the right were eagerly anticipating the Vaccine, while those on the left had to do a delicate dance of trying to shit all over the vaccine effort just enough to oppose trump but not enough to deter the general public from taking it if they won the election and the vaccine worked (both of which happened).

no one is ignoring it existed.

but you are ignoring that most pharmeceutical companies did not use it.

and that is what made the left come around on the vaccine, since trump had pretty much not a goddamn thing to do with them.
