Can anyone help me troubleshoot this? Sometimes if I turn my computer on from off it won't turn on the first time and there's a red light on the CPU debug area If I turn it off and turn it back on it'll work It also happens when I try to wake from sleep and I have to restart the computer Any ideas what could be causing this? ... Might have to check the motherboard manual, it can mean many things. Usually it is just a connection issue, meaning that the CPU might not be seated correctly or one of the pins are bent. Could also be a loose connection from the motherboard to the PSU. Overall, just a minor problem, nothing serious. --- My bookshelf: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list/152760030 Comics: https://leagueofcomicgeeks.com/profile/dikitain ... Copied to Clipboard!

Oh, and it could also mean a dead CMOS battery, might not be a bad idea to replace it. Although you recently built this computer so I would consider that a last resort. --- My bookshelf: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list/152760030 Comics: https://leagueofcomicgeeks.com/profile/dikitain ... Error lights and codes aren't universal on mobos. You'll have to check the manual. --- http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m0ajm6lGqf1qekkfi.gif ... Copied to Clipboard!

I didn't know if there was a difference because it still boots and isn't dead on start up That makes me think it is likely the PSU connection. Could just be some dust or dirt in the connector. Really, it is more a matter of what you consider more work: Booting your computer twice once in a while or having to check all your connections. Either way, it is not causing major/expensive damage. --- My bookshelf: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list/152760030 Comics: https://leagueofcomicgeeks.com/profile/dikitain ... The only time you can have major problems is if you overload it, but that isn't what is happening in your case. --- My bookshelf: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list/152760030 Comics: https://leagueofcomicgeeks.com/profile/dikitain ...
