Do guitarists learn sheet music? Anyone I know who plays guitar says they use "tabs" for everything

tabs are very lame. i learned to read sheet music like 10 years ago and stopped taking lessons and then forgot the vast majority of it. I have a very rudimentary understanding of music theory because of what i remembered. If i wanna play a song i like, i just figure it out myself. very rarely do i look up tabs, and when i do i usually regret it because theyre wrong as fuck and dont make sense

all of the cool shit most guitar players like is about the rhythm and not the notes.

I learned to read sheet music back in middle school band class, but after so many years, all I remembered were the basics (what notes look like, what a time signature and an accidental means, etc)

I'm getting some of it back, but the Bass Clef throws me off and chord symbols can be confusing.

Music Theory YouTube has been a big thing for me for the last year or so lol

idk how to read any of it anymore.
as far as Im concerned, rhythm is something that is learned by practicing and not reading about it unless youre in an orchestra or some shit

the guitar is set up in a way that makes sense to me for what i want it to sound like. Licks are what i wanna come up with and thats what i do. Im not even that good, i understand that there are people 100x my skill level but they sound way lamer than i do
