Can be big or small

- Right off the bat, the season 4 intro. It's like a signal and promise to fans that this is it, we're getting focus on the original members of the team like we've all been clamoring for

- It's a small thing but they finally perfected Ms Martian's look. I hope they settle on this permanently because it looks great on her.

- I liked Zatanna's arc. I really liked her Light-esque gambit, training a bunch of magicians not just out of the goodness of her heart, but so that they could serve as replacement for Dr Fate so that she could get her father Zatarra back. That was genius.

- The Aquaman arc showed that despite everything, Greg and the writers have still got it because that was pretty clever way to bring back Ocean master and that seemingly weird non-sequitir episode from season 3. It was genius. Really shows that they're playing the long game which I love

Lol do you only wanna watch it for the gay kiss, it has a lot more to offer including that. Aren't you excited for YJ after those long years of cancellation?

You know, Aqualad is the only character who's orientation makes sense. In the new season they make near everyone bisexual or polyamorous or some other new agey thing, but Aqualad is the only character where it makes most sense. In season 1/2 it felt like his love over Tula was forced and not authentic, so his relationship with Wynd seems the most authentic so far.

EDIT: the creator Greg Weisman confirmed he wanted to make Kaldur gay way back in season 1 but Cartoon Network execs wouldn't let him

I haven't seen it. I thought the show started off really strong in season 1, but I stopped caring during season 2 when they added a bunch of characters to the cast and did a time skip. Took me forever to get around to finishing season 2, and then I only made it a few episodes into season 3 before giving up.

a whole new cast in seaosn 2 turned some people off
though as it goes on really only impulse and blue beetle get any real focus out of the new characters while the original cast still gets all the screen time

Overall, season 4 was way better than season 3. Its almost as good as season 2 but not quite there.

I liked the Klarion and Zatanna storyline and im interested to see more of the Shazam girl who turned evil. I liked watching Zods kid working to get him out of the Phantom Zone and the time travel shenanigans.

The coolest thing in the season for me was them tying Green Lantern: Animated into this and showing that interaction between Kilowag and Razer

The last four or so episodes were good. And, who would have thought, those were the episodes where the original cast was together and moving the plot forward. What a concept!

The rest of the season was absolutely miserable. Beast Boys depression and Superboy wandering the Phantom Zone were dragged out with absolutely no development for episodes on end. We had two incredibly bizarre episodes dedicated to how amazing Christianity and Islam are, respectively, and the shows writing was absolutely not up to the philosophical task of making this work. The show has absolutely lost the plot with regards to The Light, Vandal Savage, and Darkseid, with these characters largely just standing around and never doing anything. To top it all off, the shoestring budget was constantly on display with still frames and choppy animation.

Greg Weisman is extremely talented, but I think he fundamentally misunderstands the appeal of his own show. Its like he wants this to be DC Universe: The Show but without a core cast of characters to latch onto theres no reason to care. Were bombarded with time skips and new teams and shitty new characters like Fred Bugg with two Gs, and it just robs us of the time we should be spending with the characters we fell in love with in S1. S4 paid lip service to the idea of focusing on those characters, but saddled them all with dull go-nowhere solo plots for 90% of the season, and still found plenty of time to focus on an ever growing roster of forgettable characters that just dilute the show.

The cracks in the formula showed even back in S2, with the time skip and new team being quite off putting at first, but everything did come together nicely in the end. Unfortunately, the writers werent able to pull the same trick again, with S3 and S4 being colossal steps down. The revival didnt live up to the hype, and now theres zero Young Justice hype left. I dont see a season five happening.

Yeah I really wanted to see more development on all the new cast especially cassie and it even seemed like tim drake robin was gonna get more screen time but then he didn't. That being said I loved blue beetle in this season and liked seeing him. Season 3 did a similar thing with Halo now being that season's BB main character, but she and the forager/brioche combo were garbage.

I blame cartoon network for not just canceling YJ the first time around, but also for making season 2 shorter despite it having more characters and more stuff going on. Only 20 episodes compared to the normal 26. Those could have been used for more development but oh well

I really didn't understand what the whole islam stuff was about lol, it couldn't have been for our benefit I was cringing too hard and straight up skipped khalids prayer chanting part. It just made me wonder if they noticed they had a large middle east fanbase and were trying to cater to us or something XD

Here's how I view it. Season 3 had more continuation of the Darkseid plot/main plot, but the focus was on garbage characters, while season 4 just felt like a detour with the whole phantom zone/zod as a villain, but focused on almost all the characters we know and love
