Ive watched the first 7.5 minutes and Im definitely gonna continue. Its basically an examination of the symbolism and motive behind the aesthetic choices made in designing the bored ape NFTs, and further aims to serve as a broad primer on how the internet and its troll denizens have the ability to leak out into the real world to influence patterns of behavior, whether its manipulating the mainstream media and by extension its consumers into believing false narratives or through transferring vast sums of material wealth that is more or less invisible and unable to be taxed.

i watched it, really interesting, the puzzle breakdown was ridiculous. some things seem like reaches, but there are many more things that seem really deliberate and obvious. no matter what you believe about it, it's insane how far this has gone, and how many big names bought into it

The TL;DW is basically the title: every aspect BAYC has a direct parallel to Nazism/Neo-nazis and is run by 4Channers. It just takes an hour to go over everything that has come out of BAYC.

I agree with the premise of the video and even agree the foundation of the Logo more or less sets out to prove a lot of the more obscure connections, but the video is not well constructed at all. It definitely could've been done better for such a serious topic when it does have strict evidence.

Also, in spite of my issues with the video, response "threads" on twitter attempting an earnest debunk seem incapable or allergic to addressing the logo comparison to the Totenkopf. You really can't explain the uneven circle design; it reminds me of people saying the Golden Dawn's flag wasn't a nazi imagery reference.

The fact the founders fall back on ethnicity as a way to debunk it is ridiculous. There's no shortage of minority figures that have engaged in Nazi or Nazi-adjacent politics.

I watched the video a few days ago. I think it's all very interesting, but it's hard for me to distinguish between someone completely wrapped up in 4chan culture and someone who's actually a neo nazi.

In a lot of ways, the distinction isn't meaningful, but I think the takeaway is different in the end.

I think the inability to make the distinction is in itself the most meaningful part, since disguising your nature and motives is one of the key principles of fifth generation warfare.
