it is that time of year again my dudes. it is back in person this year but there will be some remote runs as well.

Super Mario Maker 2 can be good as long as you're able to tolerate the personalities of the players.

Super Castlevania 4's my hype-game of the day.

The SCIV run was wonderful, and so was the HoD run. I'm now gonna tune out until Phasmophobia, I think.

The Crash 2 run was fairly nice, speaking as someone who doesn't care for Crash.

GTA Vice City was fantastic.

Was thinking about staying up late to watch this one, but five minutes in turned it off and went to sleep. Between the brightness being cranked way up and the forced unfunny commentary, it was just not very enjoyable.

time for mega man games

Yeah not a fan of the FNAF run, kinda sad it was forced in.

Yeah I bailed shortly into that run. But the Silent Hill 4 one after made up for it!

I always feel bad when runs go bad and people are mostly like the commentators sucked because for the most part there are just awkward speed runners and theyre 100% going to see that criticism.

But yeah that wasnt a fun run. Brightness absolutely did not help things and I turned off the VOD halfway through. Hopefully they dont take it too seriously and just try to get better.

I felt like they were hyping up the FNAF run a lot. It's a shame if it didn't go well.

4 hour JRPGs should get the graveyard shift. This schedule is kind of a mess.

On the plus side, I get a good 4.5 hour break!

Edit: But Friday night into Saturday morning is ridiculous and I don't understand that part.

Yeah, it sucked that they gave TheRetroRunners Ninja Gaiden a 6:51 am slot, that run was awesome. Really cool to see Slackanater on his couch too!

I really hope this audience loses steam in clapping for moons because there's going to be 500 moons lol.

Once upon a time there was a 4 way 100% Super Metroid race at GDQ. 400 items to get and there were 400 "Waa"s to go with them. So basically, a lot of people are going to have sore hands after this run.

It would have been funny if there was a display showing which player was pushing buttons so the audience can so who is messing with the other players.

I think it's interesting that they have to work out strategies on the fly on how to beat each battle. Although, they have Spore now so I'm not sure how difficult the rest of the run will be.

It's honestly pretty crazy that Sunshine still had lives and Game Overs if you weren't saving though.

Oh, yeah. That's real bad. He really should've been paying more attention to his life count and have done safety saves just in case. 47 minutes in is brutal.

Oof. Runner just got a game over in SMS 48 minutes into the run. He didn't save during the run and doesn't have a backup save. So he's starting over from the beginning. They just said he'll be given until the estimate (3:05:00) to get as far as he can before a mercy kill.

Yeah that is an all time tragedy right there. Biggest of oofs.

Getting as many shines as he can within the time is still sort of interesting, but definitely not what they were hoping for from this time slot. Shame.

In some ways the GCN/PS2 era was very similar to the current era and in some ways it really wasn't
